It was a wonderful holiday
We would like to thank the entire team at Fihalhohi from the bottom of our hearts for an unforgettable stay. The stunning island, the crystal-clear water, the fascinating underwater world and the consistently warm hospitality made our holiday truly special. A very special thank you, however, goes to Sandra from the diving centre. Following my diving accident, she was immediately on hand to offer advice and support, and organised the necessary assistance quickly, professionally and with no fuss whatsoever. In a situation that was fraught with uncertainty for us, her calm, competent and caring manner was a great help. Thanks to her exceptional dedication, we felt well looked after and supported at all times. We would also like to thank the entire resort team for their prompt assistance, warmth and great willingness to help. Such dedication is by no means to be taken for granted and has left a lasting impression on us. Despite this unexpected incident, we were able to enjoy many wonderful and relaxing days on holiday. The beauty of the island and the friendliness of all the staff will remain in our memories for a long time to come. We can wholeheartedly recommend Fihalhohi and will certainly return one day.

Unforgettable Family Getaway at Fihalhohi Island Resort
We had an incredible family vacation at Fihalhohi Island Resort. The house reef is world-class snorkeling right off the beach allowed us to swim alongside turtles, reef sharks, and vibrant marine life every single day. A massive shoutout to Sous Chef Mr. Liyo, whose delicious Indian dishes and flavorful biryani made dining an absolute highlight for our whole family. The island’s natural beauty, comfortable rooms, smooth 45-minute speedboat transfer, and genuinely warm hospitality made this an unforgettable holiday. We cannot recommend Fihalhohi enough! The House Reef & Marine Life: The standout feature of Fihalhohi is easily its thriving house reef. Snorkeling straight from the beach felt like swimming inside a giant aquarium. We saw reef sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, and schools of vibrant tropical fish daily, which made the trip thrilling for both adults and kids. Accommodations & Island Vibe: The island retains a charming, natural Maldivian feel with shaded palm pathways and soft white sand everywhere. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after a full day in the sun and water.
Fihalhohi is love at first sight❤️
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. I really love this island. Green, beautiful, well-kept and very welcoming. Special warmth is given to this hotel by the people who live and work there. They are like sunshine, with rays shining always and into everyone. Magnificent ocean with pure water and beautiful reef. Very large and well-maintained beach. Many locations for beautiful photos. For the second year I am living in the same room. Many thanks to the hotel manager, who always tries to take into account the wishes of guests. The room is not big, but very cozy. Everything is clean and in working order. There is a wide selection of food and everything is always delicious. Every day after dinner there are entertainment events. The hotel left only a pleasant impression and I would be happy to go back again. Fihalhohi island, see you soon!
Perfect first Maldives experience for our family
We stayed at Fihalholi for 7 nights in a Deluxe Beach Superior room with sea view (room 123 just perfect for the 4 of us!). The resort is small, charming and very pleasant, with a good choice of activities and excursions, although none particularly cheap 😁😭.
Our two kids (10 and 14) did their Junior OWD diving course with instructor Nico and had a fantastic experience. The house reef is definitely one of the highlights: just a few metres from the shore, with something new to spot every day — manta rays, eagle rays, turtles, moray eels, reef sharks and much more. 🐢🦈
We also joined the manta ray and whale shark excursion. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to see the whale sharks, although the resort is very clear that sightings cannot be guaranteed. We were lucky enough to see the mantas, but I heard from other guests who went on similar excursions and didn’t manage to see either mantas or dolphins. Given the relatively high cost of these excursions, perhaps it could be considered to offer a small voucher or partial refund in cases where none of the main highlights are spotted. Just a suggestion that could make the experience feel even fairer for guests.

The buffet and food in general were good, and even the pasta was surprisingly decent! 😊 Breakfast, desserts and some of the fruit could be improved — the papaya wasn’t always very good, while pineapple and watermelon were almost always available.
A small suggestion for the resort: it would be very helpful to show prices including taxes and service charge from the beginning. The extras are not particularly cheap, so having the final price upfront would make things easier for guests.
We were also very lucky with the weather: only one short shower one afternoon, and otherwise sunshine or just a few clouds throughout our stay.
Overall, definitely five stars from us and a great first experience in the Maldives! We would happily come back. 🌴🐠🤿
