Jordan is a land of ancient wonders and desert beauty, where history is carved into sandstone and hospitality runs deep. From Roman ruins to rose-red cities, and dramatic canyons to sacred rivers, our escorted tours take you through the country’s most unforgettable highlights.
Jordan’s capital is a lively blend of old and new. Explore the Citadel and Roman Theatre, stroll through bustling souks, and enjoy panoramic views from hilltop cafés. Amman’s layered history and modern energy make it a fascinating starting point for your journey.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Petra is Jordan’s crown jewel. Enter through the narrow Siq and emerge before the iconic Treasury, carved into rose-red rock. Wander through ancient tombs, temples, and trails that reveal the ingenuity of the Nabataeans.
Known as the Valley of the Moon, Wadi Rum is a vast desert landscape of towering sandstone cliffs and sweeping dunes. Ride in a 4x4 across the red sands, visit Bedouin camps, and watch the sunset paint the desert in gold. It’s a place of silence, stars, and cinematic beauty.
Float effortlessly in the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Its mineral-rich waters and mud are famous for their therapeutic properties. The surrounding resorts offer relaxation and views across to the hills of Israel and Palestine.
Step into the Roman world at Jerash, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the Middle East. Walk along colonnaded streets, visit temples and theatres, and imagine life in a thriving provincial city. Nearby, the green hills of Ajloun and the Jordan Valley offer a refreshing contrast to the desert
Jordan’s climate is mostly dry and sunny, with four distinct seasons. The most pleasant times to visit are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when temperatures are mild and ideal for exploring both cities and desert landscapes.
Cool and sometimes rainy, especially in Amman and the north. Petra can be chilly, and snow is possible in higher elevations. The Dead Sea and Aqaba remain warmer, offering a peaceful winter escape.
One of the best times to visit. Wildflowers bloom across the hills, and the weather is warm but not too hot. Perfect for hiking, sightseeing, and enjoying Jordan’s natural beauty.
Hot and dry, especially in the desert and inland areas. Wadi Rum and Petra can be very warm, but early mornings and evenings are magical. Coastal areas like Aqaba offer beach relief.
Mild and golden, with fewer crowds and ideal conditions for cultural sightseeing and outdoor activities. It’s also harvest season, with fresh dates, olives, and local produce.
Jordanian cuisine is warm, generous, and deeply tied to tradition. Meals are often shared, with flavours that reflect Bedouin heritage, Levantine influences, and seasonal ingredients.
Mansaf – Jordan’s national dish, made with lamb cooked in fermented yogurt sauce and served over rice and flatbread. Rich, comforting, and deeply symbolic.
Falafel & Hummus – Crispy chickpea balls and creamy chickpea dip, staples of Jordanian breakfasts and street food.
Maqluba – A layered dish of rice, meat, and vegetables, flipped upside down before serving.
Zarb (Wadi Rum) – A Bedouin-style barbecue cooked underground, often served with rice, salads, and flatbread.
Knafeh – A sweet dessert made with shredded pastry, cheese, and syrup, often topped with pistachios.
Try mint tea or cardamom coffee, served with warmth and ceremony. Lemon with mint is a refreshing favourite, and Jallab (a date and grape drink) is popular in summer. Alcohol is available in many hotels and restaurants, but not everywhere.
