One of the city’s most significant landmarks is the Qasr Al Hosn; built towards the end of the 18th century, this stone watchtower was the city’s first permanent structure and housed ruling families, the government, and the national archive. Another must-see is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque; one of the largest religious buildings in the world, it can accommodate 40,000 visitors into a space the size of four football fields! Abu Dhabi is also home to many more places of interest such as Mangrove National Park, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Sea Hawk Water Sports & Adventures.

The types of food that are available in Abu Dhabi are extensive, from more commonly enjoyed dishes taken from Italian, French, American and Mexican cuisine, to the more traditional and exotic recipes that known throughout the United Arab Emirates, there's plenty for everyone to enjoy when visiting Abu Dhabi. Emirati cuisine is known for its fresh seafood and there is endless variety available in Abu Dhabi, one of the most popular dishes is Madrooba. This dish is prepared using any kind of fish that has been salt-cured and then cooked in a pot of water and flavoured with spices, throughout the cooking process flour is added to thicken the broth which transforms into a delicious sauce. To top it off, locals love to enjoy this dish with flat bread known as Raqaq. If you have more of a sweet tooth, then you'll definitely like Luqaimat; tasty fried balls of dough drizzled with date syrup. Eaten any time throughout the day, Luqaimat are made with saffron and are incredibly light, ensuring you don't feel heavy after eating them. There are endless delicacies for you to enjoy when visiting this destination, whether you enjoy savoury or sweet dishes, you're bound to find more than one incredible meal in Abu Dhabi.
