- Hotspring Beach Resort and Spa

The resort is situated along Na Toey Beach in Kok Klong district. The blue sea is only a 5-minute walk away from the hotel, as is the Mineral Hot spring, which spurts 1-1.5 m out of the ground. The hot spring source was discovered on this land about 40 years ago. The water originally sprang out about 3.5 m above the ground. However, due to development of the area, a concrete wall was made to cover the spring, reducing its height. The local market is around 10 minutes away, as is the bus station. Guests will find Phuket town just a 50-minute drive away, and night life in Patong. It is just a 30-minute drive to Phuket International Airport (crossing Sarasin Bridge).
This charming, family-friendly beach hotel was renovated in 2005 and comprises a total of 75 rooms. Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and check out, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a café, a bar, a restaurant, conference facilities and Internet access. Guests may also take advantage of the room and laundry services and there is parking for those arriving by car. Younger guests will enjoy the playground.
The spacious guestrooms are equipped with satellite TV, direct dial telephone, a minibar, individually adjustable air conditioning, a safe, a fridge, a hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities. The private en suite bathrooms come with a shower with hot and cold water as well as international standard facilities and toiletries. All rooms come with a private balcony except those with deluxe pool access. Furthermore Internet access, an ironing set and a king-size or double bed are provided in all accommodation as standard.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Second time staying here in two years, so this review is specifically related to the second stay in December 2025.
When in this part of Thailand, we usually have a few places that we are regulars at, and this was another place we were considering making a regular stay and hence a decision to stay again this year in order to truly assess if this will make the cut.....and after spending an extended period here, sadly this is one of those places I wouldn't really recommend for many reasons and here is why:
Beach & Location : Although the pictures will make you believe it is a beach front property (true on a technicality) the beach itself is connected via a long decaying foot bridge (which was being re-painted [not repaired] ) as of December 2025, and like most of the property a lot of the changes seem very cosmetic in nature, and the facade will quickly reveal itself once you have spent more than a couple of nights here. Once on the beach, there are a 3 functioning umbrellas and sun beds) on a very barren beach (a massive reduction from the 10 we counted last year)..and there is absolutely nothing on the beach while there, no shops or anything...so beware and take some water with you.
Housekeeping and Maintenance : - After spending more than 10 days here, I have come to the conclusion when it comes to housekeeping and maintenance - Either they are incompetent, or they are deliberately trying to sabotage the management (or both) - we have had to call housekeeping and ,maintenance EVERY SINGLE DAY of our stay. Most of the issues were not severe issues, but issues non the less and many of these issues (e.g hotspring not working in the villas) were repeated issues, and we stopped complaining about many things since neither management nor the staff deemed it fit to actually do something major about it.(They offered to move us, but then couldnt guarantee the new villa wont have similar or worse problems)
General State of Facilities :
Very poor state of things all over the place, there were cob webs, dust and dirt around the restaurant area for breakfast (which seemed to lack any sort of management and constantly crowded).
The gym (if you will call it that) was tiny, smelly and all facilities and machines in poor state and present a danger to most normal users.
The Hotspring villa which was supposed to be their highest grade property was really not worth the money paid for it, since the hotspring rarely worked defeating the entire purpose of calling it a Hotspring villa)
Day visitors are constantly overcrowding the general Hotspring area, which means even if you are a paying guest (both overnight stayer or not), you are not really relaxing
Overall it was a very disappointing stay and would have checked out earlier were it not for a minor back injury that made moving to a proper place that tad bit more dangerous, so took it easy....and couldn't wait to get out and move to one of our regular places after this failed experiment
If despite this review you are still considering this place, I would advise:
4.If you are offered a free upgrade to one of the villas, of course take it...they are nice for a couple of days, but don't expect things to work but definitely worth it if it's free
On the positive side, the Manager (Narongchai - called "Nhoom") seem like a genuinely nice guy who is probably just doing his best. Also, some staff are very friendly and helpful - There's Jip and Cream at Reception, Boy at Breakfast who always remembers how you like your eggs, as well as Shogun one of the attendants who never fails to smile and say hello.
I had a beautiful stay and truly enjoyed everything.
In the morning, we woke up to the sound of birds. It felt calm and peaceful. I loved taking a quiet walk with my dogs before breakfast. The breakfast has many options and everything is fresh and tasty. After that, you can relax in the hot springs pool, cool down in the cold plunge, or swim in the saltwater pool. It makes you feel refreshed and relaxed.
The beach is also wonderful. There are comfortable lounges and shaded areas, and it is not crowded. You can spend a quiet, peaceful day by the sea and really switch off.
The resort is pet friendly, which was perfect for me. My dogs loved the space and the nature around.
The rooms are big, very clean, and have everything you need. The food is great for both lunch and dinner, and the massages are very good quality. The prices are not high and align with other 4 star hotels.
It’s a perfect place if you want peace and time to rest, relax, and reset your body and mind.
I can't wait to go back next month.
Thank you to all for making our short break unforgettable.
Hot Springs is cut off from the main hustle & bustle of Phuket but is perfect for a quiet getaway with its own private beach, large pools and villas with their own private swim baths. The staff are helpful & professional, restaurant serves decent food & has a good bar with live music in the evenings. About half an hour from the Phuket International Airport. This resort is best if you’d like some peace.
Pros of the Hotel The beach is excellent and clean, the grounds are beautiful, and there are natural hot springs on the territory.
Cons of the Hotel
Summary I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The nice grounds absolutely do not outweigh the terrible service, dirty rooms, noisy tourist crowds, and complete incompetence of the staff. The hotel needs to do a lot of work to improve its guest experience.
My wife booked the "Take it Easy" package as a special gift for me, which required us to travel 60km from mainland Phuket. Unfortunately, the execution of this service was highly unprofessional. Because I was not familiar with the full itinerary, the staff took advantage of this and completely skipped the welcome drink, the hot spring bath, and the cold water plunge. They were fully aware of what was included in the booking but chose to skip straight to the massage. When we brought this to the front desk’s attention, their handling of the situation was unacceptable. They tried to rush me into the hot spring and cold plunge after my full-body massage, which completely defeats the purpose of a proper wellness sequence. They then blamed us for being "late," despite the fact that we had explicitly communicated our arrival time of 3:00 PM due to our travel distance. Their final "solution" was to tell us to return the next day—showing a total lack of empathy for the 60km journey we had just made. To make matters worse, the front desk promised a manager would call us within 24 hours. It has now passed that window, and we have heard nothing. This establishment lacks basic customer service protocols, communication, and an understanding of wellness. Truly a wasted journey.
