This resort is a true gem, located in the Krabi’s Tubkaak region. It’s a quiet place, away from the hustle of Ao Nang and Krabi. The staff is wonderful and always there to help. We had a great time. Ps: for those interested te travel to Hong Island or even Raliay Beach: just book your trip at the beach. Much cheaper then booking with operators
I never write reviews, but for this one…I have to.
I would give this resort 6 stars for the service if I could. Every single staff — front desk, restaurant, spa, cleaners, beach — top notch. The service is better than most 5 stars hotels.
The room, facilities, activities and everything else are great.
Our stay at The Tubkaak was truly wonderful, and the hotel exceeded our expectations in almost every way.
The rooms were perfect: comfortable, beautifully designed and very well maintained. One of the most enjoyable features was the open-roof shower. Our children were initially a little unsure about the idea, but very quickly they absolutely loved it and thought it was one of the most fun parts of the room.
The beach is stunning. The sea was calm, flat and beautiful, which made it especially enjoyable for families. The pool was also excellent and never felt crowded. We stayed in a room with a terrace directly connected to the pool, and this was a huge highlight for the children. They could step straight from the terrace into the water, while we were still able to see them from inside the room. It made the whole experience both fun and relaxing.
The staff were outstanding: genuinely warm, highly attentive and extremely service-oriented. We travelled with two children who have life-threatening food allergies, and the team did everything possible to accommodate them safely. Special meals were prepared, and the staff took our concerns seriously. We strongly recommend bringing a written document in Thai explaining the severity of the allergies and the exact precautions required, as this helped communication enormously.
The food was very good throughout our stay. The hotel itself is surrounded by nature and blends beautifully and harmoniously into the landscape. We loved the peaceful atmosphere, the greenery and the feeling of being immersed in the natural surroundings.
Despite the hotel’s distance from the main town, we had no real difficulty getting into the centre when we wanted to go out. Prices are higher than in many other places in Thailand, but in our opinion the quality and overall experience fully justify the cost.
The spa was another major highlight. The treatments were highly professional and were the best we experienced during our trip.
This is an exceptional hotel for families, couples and anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful and high-quality stay in Krabi. We highly recommend it and would be very happy to return.
My stay at The Tubkaak Boutique Resort in Krabi was nothing short of incredible. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed with their warm hospitality and attention to every detail. The resort is tucked away on a peaceful stretch of beach, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax while still being surrounded by some of Thailand’s most breathtaking scenery.
The rooms are beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and blend luxury with the natural beauty of the area. Waking up to the sound of the ocean each morning was unforgettable. The beachfront is stunning, with calm waters that are perfect for kayaking, swimming, or simply enjoying the incredible sunsets.
The dining experience was outstanding. Every meal—from the generous breakfast to lunch, dinner, and evening cocktails—was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Enjoying dinner right by the water made every evening feel special.
One of my favorite parts of the stay was the on-site spa. After exploring Krabi, relaxing with a traditional Thai massage overlooking the peaceful surroundings was exactly what I needed.
What truly sets The Tubkaak apart is its staff. Every team member went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, always greeting guests with genuine smiles and offering helpful recommendations.
If you’re looking for a luxurious yet peaceful escape in Krabi with exceptional service, amazing food, beautiful accommodations, and direct access to one of Thailand’s most scenic beaches, I can’t recommend The Tubkaak Boutique Resort enough. It’s the kind of place you’ll never want to leave, and I already can’t wait to return.
It changes a lot during the past decade. Not only that the property runs down, but also the services, details and vibes.
It used to be quiet, relax and true boutique. This time there was live music until late at night - 10pm or until asked to stop.
Staffs are hit and miss. One staff in the restaurant refused to join a table for our family in a shade, instead she led us to a 4 seats table but in the sun. Although the restaurant is empty (5 July, at 11.30am).
None of the room furnitures are comfortable.
Turn down service doesn’t come unless being chased.
Food prices are ridiculous. Same level as Maldives. Although maldives have real logistic costs, this hotel does not.
Airport transfer price is unreasonable. Even though it’s a private van, we were still charged per head.
If you add Line and talk to the front, the service feels robotic - rules, prices, payment. Guest experience and satisfaction should be also considered for this price range.
The shampoo, shower gel etc are in the small little ceramic bottles - slippery, not functional, unhygienic, requires both hands.
In general, quite disappointing. I don’t think we will revisit.
Special thanks to K Na the breakfast’s manager. She made our experience better by checking with me how things are.
