Overall a good place to stay for few days
The royal cancun is situated very close to the ferry terminal for isla mujeres so is a perfect place to stay if you want to go over there. Also a great place to avoid the seaweed as this shore is almost completely unaffected.
We had a 2bed2bath suite and it was very generous is size with a full lounge and a duplex arrangement. Full kitchen too.
Very clean.
Took off one star as the food and drinks were not great. Drinks were very synthetic tasting. Too many sugary syrups. The buffet looked good but didn't live up to expectations.

Loved my trip
Loved it! Will be back :) It was my first international trip with my kids, 8 and 10. We had the BEST time, and my kids didn’t want to leave!

The Royal Cancun is the place to be.
Very relaxing resort without the hassles of loud main tourist sites. Very well equipped, calm beach, and nice onsite store and restaurants. The staff is always helpful and service good. I come yearly.
Great Family Resort
Great hotel for a family vacation. If you want the party vibe this is not your resort. Excellent service from the time you check in to the time you check out. Food is excellent you must try their Italian restaurant (you need a reservation but it is very easy to get one). The staff at the pool grill and beach lounge chairs are great. Manuel and Patty will go the extra mile to make it a great vacation for you. I definitely recommend getting the all inclusive package it is worth every penny.
