Park Royal Cancun All Inclusive

We stayed at the Park Royal Beach Cancun and had a really enjoyable trip. The hotel sits right on the beach, with great sand, and as the sun goes down there’s a fire breather show on the sand, which was a fun touch.

Pool & bars: There’s a bar in the pool plus a separate drinks-only bar close by, so you’re never far from a drink. The entertainment team keeps the main pool lively with volleyball, music games and more, and everyone gets involved. It’s a great family vibe.

Food & drink: The snack bar was a highlight, with nacho chilli beef and all the trimmings. The restaurants are probably more of a 3.5 star for me. There isn’t the range of food I’ve seen elsewhere, but it was nice all the same.

Towels: Towels are free and can be swapped every day at the towel hut for the pool and beach.

Atmosphere & location: I didn’t hear another English voice the whole time we were there, so it feels very Mexican, which was lovely to be wrapped up in. The hotel is set among leafy trees and is pretty clean, and the staff were nice. There’s also a shopping centre right on the doorstep with everything from high-end shops to the basics.

Entertainment: Evening entertainment isn’t up to the standard you’d find elsewhere and feels a bit like an afterthought, judging it against American and European holiday destinations. There are some nice shows, but it’s lower key. There is a Mexican neon party one night that was fun and there are stalls nightly within the grounds to purchase fun souvenirs.

Trips: Excursions organised through the hotel, including nature reserves and swimming with dolphins, were all great. Let the rep know you don’t speak Spanish, as everyone else on the trip does.

Rooms: We booked a large suite with a separate lounge and sitting area, which was nice.

Verdict: A fun, family-friendly resort with a real local flavour. Not quite perfect, but well worth considering. Budget considered.

This is the second time I come to this resort and had the pleasure of being served by Fulgencio. He is a great waiter his customer service is one of a kind I was here last year came with my mother, and on the second time we were served by him he remember all of our dreams and brought . to the table even before we order anything he pays attention on what we might and disliked. Incredible enough when I came this time he remember that I had come last year and asked me if the other two people that were with last year were here. He remembered that I had come with my mother and my brother last year they turned around. I was here with my niece. He is the type of person that takes the time to get to know what you like and knows what’s the best pay to recommend for you and your party. I highly recommend that if anybody is planning, I’m coming to this resort they take their time to ask to be seated in one of his stations you will not regret it.
