Emiliano one of the employees at Almar restaurant was incredibly inviting and welcoming to my family and I on our stay here. He was an exceptionally hard worker and even organized a special birthday dinner for my daughter and it turned out excellent! We are from Massachusetts and decided to come here for a stay with all inclusive passes (100% recommended it is worth it!). The employees here were exceptional! Also, Francisco who was another employee who works mainly at the restaurant by the pool was also great help to us! He took the time to know us personally and provided us special services which was amazing. He was a very hard worker who was very kind to us. We are so thankful to have met such exemplary staff here while on our stay. It made our trip even better!
Cap. Pedro Cruz was a very helpful and provided exceptional services to me and my family while on our vacation. He gave us very special and personalized services to us. Our stay all together way great and Pedro Cruz only made it better!
Don’t make the same mistake my family and I did . -inoperable old elevators that made it very difficult to get up to the 7th floor -promises of the beautiful all inclusive ÓLEO below is a joke- the food, amenities, staff and everything at that hotel is bad -promises of top shelf food and alcohol are a lie -best think is Smirnoff and if you pay extra it also gets you Jack Daniel’s - disgusting -scary stairs under construction with constant wet cement -power surges in the hotel where they would lose power for hours on end -leaking faucets and sinks that created puddles in the rooms -fumes coming in from the vents -flooded showers that would not drain -rude staff at the front desk -lifeguards never on duty and left a guest laying in the sand intoxicated for multiple hours without help and she was about to get washed up by the ocean
This is a smaller hotel with 3 restaurants, pool, pool bar and gym. We've been coming for 20 years. The staff is great, special shout out to Francisco, Shayla, Rodriguez, Charlie and Enrique and Gerry. Everyone goes above and beyond. For the price point, the food is reasonable, for more luxurious options you can book the sushi restaurant or the sit down seaside restaurants. Its generally clean, but its an older hotel, often things require maintenance. They are prompt about it and things get fixed promptly but often minor annoyances. Other than that, we love the place and come back every year. The beach is fantastic and zero sargasso.
Fransisco the waiter and pool bar employee best employee out there helped us everyday. Very kind always got a smile on his face. Make sure you find Francisco he will make your trip 10x better just by being accompanied by him.
