The Mediterranean style beachfront hotel Barceló Costa Cancún enjoys a fantastic setting directly on the beautiful Playa Linda beach, with views to the eternal blue of the Caribbean Sea. It features 4 restaurants, a lovely pool landscape, a fitness centre and a spa area. Golf courses, shopping centres and nightlife are within easy reach; Cancún International Airport is within a 20 minutes drive.

1st time to Cancun
Could use some improvements and repairs. Location is great and the staff is very friendly. The menu and food options are really good.

Disappointed experience.
Disappointed experience.
Our experience had some good aspects, but also several issues that should not happen at this level.
The good:
- The entertainment team was excellent.
- The kids’ care/activities team was also good.
- The maintenance staff who came to our room during the night were also very kind and helpful.
The problems:
- At 5:00 a.m., a pipe in the bathroom ceiling broke while we were sleeping, flooding the bathroom. There were needed people enter and made a quick fix while our kids were still sleeping. A change of room was not offered.
- A big problem was communication and coordination with reception.
During the day reception had no information about the final repair and could not tell us whether it had been completed. We were told our room would be prioritized for cleaning, but it was still dirty at 2:20 p.m., with pieces of the ceiling in the toilet. It was finally cleaned around 3:00 p.m.
- The room telephone never worked despite reporting it four times, forcing us to go to reception every time we needed assistance or Disappointed experience.

*The buffet restaurant was always full (with waiting line) and small. There were not information if we can go to other restaurant in the hotel.
- We found a cockroach in the room.
- Despite staying three nights, is only posible to reserve an à-la-carte restaurant for one evening.
Overall, the staff working directly with guests were mostly kind and helpful. The main problem was reception, communication, and coordination between departments.
At this point, we are not asking for luxury. We are asking for the basic level of service, communication and responsiveness that should come with a hotel of this category.
Couples trip to cancun
Loved the hotel and beach, food was the best all inclusive I’ve had in years with lots of variety. Highlight would definitely be the bar staff at the pool with Alex Matos & Enrique Perez with their pure joy and happiness greeting us every day
Anniversary Trip
Everything was enjoyed except for the Italian and seafood restaurant. The hotel staff was very friendly. Everything was very clean and the room was great. You even helped me celebrate my wife’s birthday. This was our 6 year anniversary trip. I would definitely stay here again. The only this is the Mexican restaurant was closed the whole time we were there.

Accomidatiin - Room was large and spacious.
Staff- Staff was friendly and accomodating to any question.
Food - Most of the food was good in Albatross. Good balance of local and international cuisine. Loved the fruit and salad bar, and balanced food options.
Food in Italian restaurant wasnt very good. Was bland,pasta was rubbery. Steak was passable. Notable the Italian dessert was well done.
24h snack bar- Loveeedd the snack bar feature. The availability of substantial food outside of restaurant hours . This feature was very accommodating for anyone with early check out out returning late. It provided a safe option for patrons so theyre not forced to venture out in a foreign city late at night or returning from tours. The snack bar options were very good for small meals.
Restocked mini bar, especially for water was a wonderful feature. Essential in such a hot country.
Grounds were very clean and well kept. Housekeeping - good Overall great for a family trip in an all inclusive space.
