Wasn’t as expected. Food is not the best.
Give this resort a chance!
We were very skeptical because of all the reviews. Our experience was great, for the most part. This wasn’t our first time going to Cancún. We planned this trip last minute and tried to be budget friendly. We had the Sens wristbands which allows you to access all restaurants on the joining property. We did not travel with children and were able to access all the adult only areas including two pools with day beds were you can take a mid day nap. We ate dinner mostly on the Sens side, white box was good. We enjoyed Los Agaves. The breakfast buffet was decent and the service was excellent. We only ate buffet for breakfast as we were able to get into any restaurant we wanted. They make it easy to make reservations as you can make them three days ahead on an app. Hugo was incredibly helpful with any needs we had. We had one issue with a manager at the pizza place that Hugo addressed immediately. I would give this resort a try being able to go between both resorts was a wonderful experience. Also the MJ performance was fun!
POOR and Not Recommended
Very disappointing experience. This hotel is advertised as a 4-star resort, but it did not meet that standard at all. When we arrived, the main lobby elevator wasn’t working, and the hotel was extremely hot because the air conditioning was not functioning properly. The rooms were very small , old and uncomfortable. Our rooms AC was not working and the technicians came by 2-3 times a day and during the night which absolutely disrupted our stay.
The biggest concern was cleanliness and hygiene. The pool was dirty, and we observed servers and chefs handling food without wearing gloves, which made us uncomfortable eating at the resort.
After multiple issues throughout our stay, we decided to check out on day 2. Management did not adequately address our concerns, and no compensation was offered. I would not recommend this hotel and would suggest looking elsewhere if you’re planning a trip to Cancun. It was the Worst experience for our family !! It’s lower than a 1 star!!! Not recommended at all!
Family Vacation Dinner!
Maki Taco, was amazing! Service was amazing! Food was amazing! Everyone should come here while they are staying! Totally worth it!
Overall - Not Good
Where do I start. I booked the holiday for my family of four through On The Beach. We arrived at around 6pm. The driver took us to The Sens even though we had booked the grand Oasis Palm. When I questioned him he stated this was his instructions.
At the reception they stated they had no rooms at the Grand Oasis Palm and that they had “upgraded” us to The Sens as it’s a better hotel and the reason being is because On The Beach had requested this 🤔
I was given a room, the room seemed fine then after two nights my son woke up and said he saw some “spider”…..on investigation they were cockroaches. I immediately contacted reception who sent up someone from customer services and said we needed to change rooms. I requested I be moved to the Grand Oasis Palm as that is what was booked but again they said they had no rooms so moved us to another room at The Sens. This room had interconnecting doors and our neighbours were noisy every night up until 2am, reception informed but nothing done so I lost my temper and decided to knock on there door, in the end they apologised and turned the noise down but then at 6am there alarm clock would go off and it was so loud it woke us up too.
Now for the rest:
Coffee and Ice cream shops
This was the best place in the hotel. Great coffee and ice cream and the staff were lovely.
Pizza and Pasta
Opens at 11 and the pizza was nice. I can’t comment on the pasta as everytime we went they said there was no pasta so effectively it’s just Pizza and Nothing else!
Breakfast:
Breakfast was ok, service for seating and drinks was slow. Egg station was fantastic, bread and croissant’s were nice. I noticed whatever was left over from dinner the previous night was turned into a stew of some sort for the morning.

Fish restaurant - fish and chips were really nice and staff were lovely.
Main restaurant - variety of food including chips, nuggets etc but nuggets were hit and miss ( sometimes overcooked or soggy) but it was evident if any were left over they were given for dinner.
Dinner - we didn’t like dinner at all, we used to fill up on lunch. We ate a few times but the rest of the time we order uber McDonald’s.
Lunch time pool bar snacks
Hot dogs/Burgers and chips were very nice and was one of the freshest meals you will get here.
Pool bar by the beach - nice drinks but one bar man serving 15 people in a queue, very slow sometimes waiting 20 minutes for a drink.
The beach was nice and the poolside had plenty of loungers BUT had no parasols making the heat unbearable sometimes but we found a spot under a tree.
My experience was not good of this resort mainly because I was refused a room at the actual hotel I booked and I was told I was upgraded but I never saw what the difference in rooms were and to find cockroaches in first room was awful.
Would I return - NO
