Marriott Cancun Resort

Pros: This resort is beautiful. I give it a 10/10 for the facilities. I want to recognize Giovanni at the front desk. He excels at hospitality. We arrived late around 7 PM on a Sunday, and Giovanni checked us in. We were exhausted, but he was cheerful, made us very happy, and made us feel welcomed. Hugo was our bellman, and he was also cheerful and friendly. The moment you arrive, they run to your car and help with your luggage, open the doors for you, making you feel special. Excellent service upon arrival.

The service staff work hard and always try their best. We want to shout out to Antonio at Mikado Teppanyaki; Joel, Jose, and Adrian at Casa Madre; Alejandro, the poolside waiter. They all work very hard and nonstop, managing to keep smiles on their faces. We believe they deserve recognition.

We stayed in two oceanfront connecting rooms. We requested a rollaway bed, which fit perfectly for our 6-year-old. We loved the room; very spacious for a family.

They have an adult pool, which is soundproof from the family pool. We could hardly hear any noise when walking by the adult pool. My husband had a massage, and he said it was fantastic.

Cons: There is a lack of entertainment from Sunday to Wednesday. We stayed for six nights and were bored for four nights by 8 pm. The only entertainment was a live band, which the kids were not interested in. We suggest adding more family activities, as many guests have kids. Please consider adding a stage to the main lobby area and hosting more big shows like Michael Jackson tribute acts or fire shows, similar to other resorts. The nightly rate suggests a higher-end experience, but entertainment options are lacking. The two main shows on Thursday and Friday are a magic show and an African acrobatic dance show. There are not enough seats; many families had to stand or find their own chairs. There is clearly a demand for a proper stage. Additionally, please add an arcade room. We were bored trying to find things to do around 4 PM and at night. We were disappointed to find that Champions Sports Bar and the arcade were gone. There are many families with little kids and teenagers who would really enjoy this.

Overall, five stars because it's a beautiful resort. My kids and elderly parents had a great time. We will return, but please consider adding more large-scale nighttime shows. Live bands are more suited for adults.

We absolutely love this resort! This is now the second time we’ve stayed, as our first time was amazing as well. Everything is so clean, food is amazing, and most importantly- the staff go above and beyond for the guests to have the best experience possible.

We celebrated my birthday here and the adult pool bartenders, Miguel and Lizandro, made me feel so special!! They made sure we had delicious drinks the whole time! Another very honorable mention were both Gabriel and Josue. They provided us excellent service during our dining experiences and truly went the extra mile for our family. We will definitely be back and hope to see all these friendly faces

This is my fifth stay at this Marriott property having spent time with my entire family twice when it was the Mariott Casa MAGA Resort, and then again for my 25th & 35th wedding anniversaries, this time for a milestone birthday. The addition of the “Marriott Experience” App (available for I-Phone and Android users) makes navigating nation the myriad of restaurants and menus easy. Room Service menus are on the App but you still have to call to order—a bit antiquated and I expect that feature to be added!

Nightly entertainment and tremendous cocktails in the Great Room is a must do along with various nightly entertainment/activities including a casino night!

The property has enough cuisine options for a stay that you can vary from traditional Mexican (Casa Madre) and American (Organic & Co., Mo’s Burgers, Champions restaurants, to Japanese and Polynesian (Mikado Teppanyaki, Kasai & Hana Polynesian Grill) or Mediterranean— Greek (Delphina) or Italian (Toscanni) also. And within some you can vary from fine dining to “fast food” styles, e.g, three options for pizza (750 Pizzeria, Pizzeria by La Isla & Organic), a taco bar featuring other delicious locally sourced dishes (Botanika by La Isla), and Ceviches at Cevicheria. All of the restaurants, their menus and hours of operations plus reservation links are available on the App.

There were staff members who provided EXCEPTIONAL service and made this a remarkable experience: JULIO PEREZ, the Executive Sous Chef, Israel the Manager of Restaurants, and wait staff/hostesses Gerardo, Izamar, Julissa, Adrian & Antonio—AND THE ENTIRE FRONT DESK STAFF!!!!!

Marriott All Inclusive Cancun Resort I only have one negative—why build a kids pool if you allow the kids to use the regular pool without adult supervision! Suggestion—CHANGE POLICY! Require adult supervision at all times!
