Ziva is always amazing!
Ziva is always amazing. We just returned from our third trip and can't wait to go back! The staff is great! The food is fantastic! The facility is gorgeous. My son swam with the dolphins. We rode seadoos. We had a private pool cabanas every day and the butlers are great!! The cabanas come with a mini facial and two fresh coconuts (Malibu rum optional!) There is something for everyone to enjoy. We did have an issue at check in, but the measure of customer service is how problems are resolved. Martin was a true professional and made sure that we were happy.

Great overall experience for family relaxation
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip! My family was there for 4 days, and the staff at Hyatt Ziva Cancun made it so memorable. A special shout out to Sofia at the Front Desk for her kindness and giving us a great overall package, and Carlos Gallo and Jorge Pech for making our breakfast experience seamless. The activities, food, and overall environment was the perfect destination to relax and bond as a family. The attention to detail, especially to provide us halal food, did not go unnoticed. THANK YOU HYATT ZIVA CANCUN!!
Family Trip
Overall great experience! This was our second visit to Cancun and this resort was an upgrade from our last visit. It did cost more, but it was worth the added expense. We left the resort only one day to visit Isle De Mujares and would've rather just stayed at the resort. It has everything you need to rest, relax and take a break from the constant grind life brings.
Awesome resort!
My first time at Hyatt Ziva Adults Only Cancun was amazing! The resort is huge! Very clean and beautiful. The room was large with a big bathroom and double sinks. There were many restaurants to choose from, French, Italian, Mexican, seafood, American, and an Asian restaurant that was under construction and closed. There was lots of cute carts with churros, treat bags with popcorn, pretzels, candy etc, juice boxes, lemonade, etc. the buffet at The Mercado had everything you could want. There were tons of fresh donuts and breads. Everything was delicious. The pools were gorgeous. We especially enjoyed the adults only infinite pool on the rooftop. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Patricia who is the fitness manager was so pleasant and helpful explaining available classes. Addy and Edguardo in the gym were great too. Michelle, Eddy, Greg and Oscar did a great job pumping up the crowd for activities. All the waiters were fantastic! We loved Danny’s enthusiasm and smile greeting us every morning a Mercados buffet. Luis at Bastille so attentive and professional. Also great waiters that stood out, Gabriel ar Lorenzo’s, Gabriel at Tres Ceveches, and Daniel at Chevys. Luz at the customer service desk was very helpful and friendly Also had a great facial with Lydia and Pati in the spa took good care of us with the other amenities
Definitely going back probably in the spring. Highly recommend this place.
disappointing second stay
We returned to Hyatt Ziva Cancun after a wonderful stay three years ago, but unfortunately this visit didn't live up to our memories or expectations.
The biggest disappointment was the reduced children's amenities. The main kids' club was closed for our entire six-night stay and relocated to a conference room with fewer activities. The inflatable obstacle course was also offered only once during our visit, reportedly because of lower occupancy. Both were particularly frustrating given how much our children enjoyed these amenities.
We also paid a substantial amount to upgrade to a two-bedroom Club suite. While spacious, the suite felt surprisingly sparse and lacked comfortable lighting. Noise from the room above repeatedly disturbed our sleep, including one particularly disruptive evening that we reported to management.
The constant upselling was another frustration, with frequent pitches for spa treatments, premium dining, and expensive children's activities. It detracted from the all-inclusive experience we remembered.
On the positive side, the staff were consistently wonderful, and the service at our pool cabana was excellent.
Overall, we still enjoyed parts of our vacation, but the experience no longer felt worth the premium price. After six nights, the limited activities and dining options also became repetitive. If we return, we'd likely stay no more than four or five nights and skip the expensive room upgrade.
