Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe

A truly amazing resort. We absolutely loved our second stay and can't wait to go back again. The staff is second-to-none and there is always plenty of seating around the pools. We enjoyed Enclave both stays for an easy lunch option but usually utilize the other pools. Our children love the kids camp and said it was so fun! Alison at the front desk and Ricardo at Maxal are some of the employees that really stood out this time. The hydro-therapy at the spa also is something to try. It is so relaxing!! Hilton Mar Caribe

Room - was absolutely beautiful and the view was spectacular, we stayed beachfront with terrace, the terrace has lawn chairs and you can walk on it but if you get balcony it’s very small and standing only. I never use the in room toiletries but decided to try the lotion this time and I loved it! The room did come with a blow dryer. Service when it came to the room was not consistent, towels were always provided and bed was always made but other than that I couldn’t tell if it was cleaned or not. (Not a huge deal) Mini fridge was always stocked water, beer, juices and random snacks one day it was peanuts and the other it was chips. Some rooms got wine, I did have to ask for those and did get them.

Food - was ok we have definitely had better but hey we always had it and we didn’t starve. We were Enclave (more about that later) so reservations were easy. We had Italian and Steakhouse and I don’t think I would do the steakhouse again, the buffet was just fine for us. We love the little pool side, snack place, they served stuff everyday at 11:30am fried, nachos, pizza and so much more. We did room service one morning and it was great, this is included might have been Enclave only though) The service at all of the dining areas were amazing! Zero complaints.

Pools - They did have pool service but they didn’t come around often, we were sitting at the pool bar pool though. They had 3 main pools, one more relaxing near the kids pool area, pool bar pool in the middle and the more exciting pool on the end (I wish they had the pool bar with the more exciting one but that’s just me) I believe all the pools were salt water pools. We had a few smaller pools that came with Enclave as well.

Coffee Shop - this was my FAVORITE place! We loved this little coffee shop. Coffee, snacks, sandwiches it was all great.

Enclave - we booked enclave for some of the perks but not sure if I even noticed a difference, the best part was the room location. They have 42 enclave rooms and they are all beachfront. Again our room was amazing. They have a sky bar with pools up there to hang out in but more for adults only, so we didn’t use them. They also have jetted pool with ocean view but they are every small, we did hang out there for a few minutes at night, but that is about it. They did have a small cafe for enclave and we enjoyed that a couple of days. We didn’t get our free little bag we were all suppose to get which was a bummer.

They do have a photographer on site if this is something you are wanting. I love having them but didn’t do photos this round

To sum it all up, the beach was absolutely beautiful, our room was great with great views, service was great as always, food was just ok for us this round. The turtles coming up at night to hatch their eggs was a highlight of our trip, loved it so much! We have never stayed in “Cancun” before and probably won’t again as we enjoy going south a little.
