Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun Resort

We stayed at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach for a family vacation in October and had a great experience. I would definitely consider staying here again, although I would probably compare it with some of the newer resorts in the area before automatically rebooking.

The biggest standout was the service. The staff throughout the resort were genuinely friendly, attentive and personal. We spent a lot of time at the bars and lounges, where the bartenders and servers were excellent and the drinks were consistently good. The front desk, restaurant and door staff were equally helpful.

Housekeeping was fantastic. Our room was always spotless, the minibar stayed stocked, and we appreciated little touches like neatly organizing our charging cables. The room was comfortable and the balcony had an incredible ocean view. Our one complaint was the humidity. The room constantly felt damp, and swimsuits and towels simply would not dry indoors.

The pool and beach were probably our favorite parts of the property. Our main pool had a swim-up bar, waterfalls and a partially submerged island where you could sit in the water in the shade. Everything was kept very clean, and having lifeguards nearby added a sense of security. The beach is also very close to the pool, making it easy to go back and forth. The water was beautiful, the swimming area felt comfortable and protected, and we appreciated not being constantly approached by vendors.

The spa was another highlight. The entire experience was fantastic, the massage was excellent, and we thought it was a wonderful value. We would absolutely do that again.

Food was the most mixed part of our stay. It wasn't bad, just inconsistent. Some dishes were very good while others were just okay, and after a few days we learned what was worth ordering. If we returned, we'd probably add one or two of the resort's higher-end paid dining experiences.

The property is beautiful and well maintained, although parts feel a little dated compared with newer luxury resorts. That didn't negatively affect our stay, but it's worth knowing if you're expecting something brand-new and ultra-modern.

Our biggest area for improvement would be nighttime entertainment. There was a magic show, karaoke, silent dance parties, live musicians, an arcade and a dance night, but we wanted more variety, particularly from about 9 PM to midnight. A couple of temporary vendor setups didn't add much for us either. More live entertainment and evening options would have been welcome.

We visited during a quieter time of year and actually loved it. We never struggled for pool chairs, the resort didn't feel crowded, and at times it felt like we had parts of the property to ourselves. I can't say how that would compare during peak season.

Overall, this is a very good family-friendly all-inclusive with an excellent beach and pool setup, a fantastic spa and truly outstanding staff. The service elevated the entire experience and is probably the biggest reason we'd consider returning. The food could be more consistent and we'd love more evening entertainment, but the positives easily outweighed those issues. We had a great family vacation and would strongly consider coming back.

We ate at Chianti & Pablo & Moises were our waiters and they were amazing! I would definitely eat here again:)
