Was very good with minor annoyances
Our over all experience at this resort was very good. Sarah , the drink runner at the pool, took very good care of us. The buffets were pretty much standard as far as resort go and the Al le cartes were very good. The cleaning and room services were also very good. If I had to complain about anything it would be the fact that there is no adult evening lounge. The sports bar is ok but it’s not really a place you can relax and enjoy a beverage as it can be cramped and very loud. Seems very odd to me a nice lounge doesn’t exist in this resort. Also the number of people that ignored signs and just walked by out private swim up room started to get very annoying as did the people that ignored the adults only sign to the pool attached to the swim up rooms.
We Would Happily Come Back!
We had a great stay at Emporio Cancun and truly enjoyed our vacation! We had breakfast included in our stay, and we really enjoyed the breakfasts. We also loved the variety of activities, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the beautiful view of the ocean and resort from our room.
We were aware that we were visiting during seaweed season and were prepared for it. However, we did feel that it would have been nice to see the seaweed cleared a little more frequently during the season.
Our daughter especially loved the Kids Club. A special thank you to Fatima, the animator, for being so kind, attentive, and engaging with the kids. 🌴☀️
Stay at Hotel Emporio Cancun
We are very happy with our stay at Emporio! Our room was excellent and cleaned very well by Beatriz. I would also like to mention Fatima. She was great with activities and was amazing the times we left our daughter with her. Would highly recommend!
Ac at Emporio not working
I had problens with the AC, it wasn't working, experience was bad, since it was unbearable, call reception, they mentioned that they had problems but we're fixed. Not true , our room was really hot, I had to go to reception, let them know what the problem was, and the same guy raised a ticket for the express maintenance guy.I AM STULL WAITING FOR THEIR MAINTENANCE GUY. Date 10/21/2026 time 11:1 2pm. And the infinite pool was really dirty, I could not see with my googles. The inclusive deal is not really all inclusive, The water is tap water , ask for mineral water. Instead.
OK hotel
We stayed at Emporio Cancun as part of a longer trip round South America, and unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. There was no electricity in the hotel on day one and was off for nearly 10 hours— this was apparently known, planned maintenance, but we weren't told at check-in, and it ruined our first day. Our first room was also unacceptable: it overlooked the car park, hadn't been properly cleaned (a used water bottle left behind), and had cigarette ends in the balcony ashtray. We were moved to a second room, which was an improvement but still had a damp smell and visible staining on the walls. I emailed management directly to raise these issues. Rather than addressing the complaint itself, they left a small birthday cake in our room, as I'd mentioned it was a birthday trip — a nice gesture, but it didn't actually respond to any of the concerns I'd raised. Beyond that, entertainment was very limited, and food/drink prices at the hotel felt high. On the plus side, the grounds and general hotel facilities are attractive, and the building itself has a nice feel to it. We just didn't feel the overall experience matched what we were expecting for a hotel of this standard.
