Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort, a brand new, contemporary family resort, is perfectly set in the exclusive gated community of Puerta del Mar, adjacent to Puerto Cancun Golf Club and Shopping Center. Housing luxuriously equipped rooms, all with a modern and stunning architectural design, this locale offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and nearby Isla Mujeres. Featuring a relaxing world-class Spa by Pevonia®, direct access at Puerto Cancun's Golf course, two surf pools, a splash park, an exclusive rooftop pool, countless daytime activities and exciting nightlife, makes this a must-stay destination for a romantic getaway, family vacation or destination wedding.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
With greetings and respect, I would like to thank all the staff in the breakfast and restaurant departments, especially Mr. Jose Carlos Yepez Moreno.
I had an excellent time at this resort. The people made it worth going. Special thanks to Chef Zoe from the breakfast club and the manager at Vista Prima, Carlos. Thank you for a more than enjoyable stay! Hasta luego!
We stayed at Dreams Vista Cancun last week with our family and my sister’s family (two families: 4 adults with 4 kids). Overall, the resort is clean and well-maintained, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Location The resort is conveniently located near Puerto Juárez, which made it easy to catch the ferry to Isla Mujeres for a day trip; that was a big plus for us. Also close to shopping and not far from the airport.
Pools The highlight of the resort was definitely the pool area. It’s huge, beautifully designed, shallow in most places, and perfect for kids. Our children spent hours there and had an absolute blast.
Beach Unfortunately, the beach was a major letdown. It was basically unusable during our stay. The seaweed was never cleaned up, there were only about 10 lounge chairs total, and the water was very rocky and unpleasant to swim in. If beach time is important to you, this may not be the right resort.
Atmosphere The resort felt eerily quiet and not very lively, especially durign the day. It seems more geared toward spa and golf guests, so it lacks the energy and entertainment you’ll find at many other resorts in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area.
Food & Drinks The à la carte restaurants had really good food, but booking reservations was frustratingly difficult — it felt like trying to get into Nobu on a Saturday night. The buffet was also closed for dinner on most nights, which was annoying. Our favorite spot by far was Coco Cafe; excellent coffee, nice snacks, and a relaxing vibe.
Check-in Tip If you’re not a UVC member, be prepared for a very pushy attempt at a 1.5-hour sales presentation attempt during check-in and the day after. It’s aggressive and time-consuming. Feel free to politely decline and move on; you don’t have to sit through it.
Final Thoughts This is a solid resort if you’re mainly looking for a clean place with excellent pools and friendly service, especially for families who prioritize pools over beach time. However, if you want a swimmable beach and a lively atmosphere, you might want to look at other options in the area. Would we return? Probably not, but we still had a nice family trip thanks to the pools and staff.
We had many pleasant moments at the resort, and the absolute highlight of our stay was, without a doubt, the service. The staff is extraordinary: the housekeeping team was excellent, Iris and Alexis were wonderful and very special servers, Juan the bartender at the Sports Bar was fantastic, and Mr. David at the buffet was impeccable. They were all incredibly attentive, sharing great tips and constantly going above and beyond our expectations. While the hotel has great potential, a few structural and operational details impacted our hope for a fully relaxing vacation. We experienced some noise due to ongoing construction, and we also faced the stressful mishap of getting stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes—something the resort should definitely look into. Regarding the dining experience, the flavors were great, but we noticed room for more variety. At the Bluewater Grill, the menu could be broader and include more non-spicy options. At Himitsu, we missed having raw fish and sashimi choices (which we actually found to be more varied by the pool area). On another evening, we ordered a risotto that tasted delicious, though the rice was a bit undercooked. Lastly, for those who enjoy working out, the fitness center has good equipment, but it would benefit from a better layout, as well as colder water and some protein options for post-workout. Despite these details that deserve management's attention to match the resort's caliber, we are deeply grateful for the warmth and dedication of the amazing staff who took such great care of us!
cross contamination, BEBEWARE, this hotel is the worst, the have vegan and vetetarian plates, they are fried with oil that was used in shrimps! and grenatine in their desserts,NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!
