Short but very sweet stay at Cinnamon Bentota Beach
We were at Cinnamon Bentota for a total of 24 wonderful hours. The property is beautifully done and maintained both inside and outside. We really appreciate the upgrade to the room with sea facing balcony. Sulochana and the rest of the staff took excellent care of us.

Excellent stay with my family. No any single issues arise. Everything perfect. Love the beach, cleanliness, staff support. Overall experience was sooo good. Planning to book again soon

Another stay, another report
A better visit to one of the nicest beach hotels in Sri Lanka, though the main annoyance remains upfront: the price is still way too high for what you actually get.
While the property is beautifully maintained, it lacks that true sense of "luxury" you’d expect at this price point. The room sizes are just average. In fact, after four days, we moved to the hotel next door to keep enjoying the same stretch of beach without completely blowing our budget. For roughly a third less, we got a room double the size of the Cinnamon. Granted, that hotel wasn't as nice as the Cinnamon overall, so it’s a trade-off.
As for the service, the staff are genuinely kind, friendly, and eager to help, but things move slowly.
Overall, this was our fourth family visit since 2015, and we really do love this hotel. The service isn't bad, it's just slow. The current pricing puts a long stay in the same league as some of the best hotels in the world, but it doesn't quite deliver that world-class experience yet—even if they are getting there step-by-step.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely. I just wish I had the budget to stay longer!

A Great Stay by the Ocean
The location says it all. CBB has been our favorite goto every visit. A clean beachfront and good amenities for my family to relax and enjoy the stay. Theres never a question on quality of food and variety at Cinnamon. There’s always something new at Cinnamon.
