A surprise holiday for my birthday at The Yacht Classic Hotel in Fethiye was even more amazing due to everyone at the Yacht making our stay so special. It was a birthday I will always remember 💓 A massive thankyou to all our Yacht Classic family.
This was our third stay at Yacht Classic, we were not disappointed . The food and service was excellent, breakfast plenty of choice and also with the evening menu. This hotel is spotless and is always being improved . Beautiful views from our room, never tire of seeing the marina and the mountains. A big thank you to all the staff, little touches they remember with your food choices or drinks is a nice touch. Also a lovely birthday surprise in our room was very much appreciated. We have now stayed in 3 different rooms over a three year period and can say they were all lovely in their own way.
A long overdue review! Part of me wants to keep this beautiful hotel and their wonderful staff a secret but then it would be unfair of me to deprive others from having one of the best experiences of their lives.
We have been staying at the Yacht Classic every year since 2015 and we will not stay anywhere else in Fethiye.
We always receive a very warm welcome from reception staff and once we have freshened up and unpacked, we can't wait to go to the pool bar to see all the staff who we have come to regard as family.
The hotel rooms are beautiful and clean and I can only describe the water villas with their swim up pool as luxury. No matter which room we stay in, the bed is always very comfortable and we sleep well.
For breakfast at Mori restaurant, there is always a good selection at the buffet and staff are only too happy to serve any special requests for you. The view is magnificent from your waterside table.
Lunches and dinner are exceptional and in the evenings, there is no other restaurant as pretty and romantic as this.
The staff are extremely attentive and we are always treated like royalty when we stay there.
There are two swimming pools and a small pebbly beach to relax by and also plenty of sun loungers overlooking the marina. I have to say that the sun loungers are very comfortable indeed and despite other comments that I have read, we never have a problem finding one.
The poolside bar is the place to be in the early evenings to watch a beautiful sunset over the nearby mountains. You will be well looked after by Sinan, Baris, Hasan and the rest of the team. They concoct the best cocktails. Very entertaining to watch them at work!
Fethiye town is only a 10 minute walk away down the hill where you will find many quaint bars and restaurants and the shops are open until late if you want to buy any souvenirs. At the bottom of the hill, there is also a large marina which makes a lovely evening walk.
All in all, Fethiye is a beautiful place and the Yacht Classic Hotel is a jewel in its crown. We really can't wait to be there again very soon.
Very overpriced no room service in the evening and breakfast buffet opens at 8 AM which is way too late. Not much service at silent pool.
We booked a week’s stay at the Yacht Classic Hotel in Fethiye through British Airways Holidays, and it proved to be an excellent choice. This is a beautiful boutique hotel that is immaculately clean, stylish, and extremely well maintained. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious that the staff genuinely care about their guests, and they are undoubtedly the hotel’s greatest asset.
We booked a Classic Room, located on the same floor as Reception. As the entry-level room, it represented good value and was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The only slight disappointment was the outlook, which overlooked the hotel’s air-conditioning units and a fence rather than the marina or gardens. The sleeping area was also a little compact, with no comfortable chair to relax in, although the bathroom was surprisingly spacious and beautifully appointed.
The rest of the hotel more than makes up for this. The breakfast experience is exceptional, with staff who greet you each morning as though you’re an old friend. Their warmth and enthusiasm really set the tone for the day. Dinner in Mori Restaurant was consistently excellent, the bar is a lovely place to spend an evening, and having both the lively main pool and the wonderfully peaceful silent pool gives guests the best of both worlds.
We also enjoyed treatments in the spa, which were very good. If you’re looking for a traditional Turkish hammam experience, however, I’d recommend visiting one in Fethiye itself, where you’ll find a more authentic experience at a considerably lower price.
The only area where the hotel fell noticeably short was Guest Relations, and unfortunately it didn’t match the high standards set by everyone else.
As my partner was visiting Turkey for the first time, we wanted some help arranging a private boat trip and car hire. We were offered only two choices for the boat: a large shared excursion with around 30 people, or the hotel’s own catamaran at around £1,250 for the day. There seemed to be little interest in helping us find anything in between, despite there being plenty of private boat operators in Fethiye.
The car hire was equally disappointing. A deposit was taken early in the week, but by Friday this appeared to have been forgotten until my partner chased it up. We weren’t offered any choice of vehicle, the paperwork was completed by someone with limited English, we were unexpectedly asked for a £150 cash security deposit, and there was an attempt to sell us additional insurance at collection. To be fair, the Guest Relations Manager stepped in and covered the cash deposit personally, which we appreciated, but the whole process felt rather informal and disorganised. In hindsight, we would almost certainly have arranged our own car hire in town, where there are numerous reputable companies offering a wider choice of vehicles.
None of that, however, would stop us returning.
The Yacht Classic Hotel succeeds because of its wonderful staff, beautiful setting, excellent food, immaculate standards and genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday, and I would happily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Fethiye.
My only advice would be simple: stay at the Yacht Classic, enjoy everything the hotel has to offer, but consider arranging excursions and car hire independently rather than relying on Guest Relations.
