Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Stay was wonderful, staff made it unique. They are very humble. Vibes of hotel cozy. Rooms are Sea view, decoration simple and modern. Everything was ready for our stay we occupied room directly without waiting for preparation where we requested extra bed, toilet and shower supplements. Everything was ready to use
Very well presented bedroom, as it was on the 4th floor benefitting from marvelous harbour views and a balcony to sit on. Very helpful reception who quickly fixed our Air conditioing issue. They were also able to book a minibus transfer to Dalaman airport. Whilst breakfast at the adjoing cafe does not start until late, there are good cafes towards the rock tombs that do. Given the nearby marvelous fishmarket with its adjoining restaurants near on site, the lack of restaurant is no issue.
Fantastic location right on the Marina which would be the reason we would consider staying again however, there were some issues which staff struggled to resolve. No top sheet for duvet on the bed just a waffle throw which wasn’t great on your skin, didn’t go over the ends and sides of the beds so left us both really cold for two nights. Eventually we got another sheet and a duvet each but the third night was ridiculously hot and we couldn’t get the air con working. We were told it was centrally controlled and the staff struggled to change it. We had 3 nights with very broken sleep. Bathroom, although spacious was a bit tired. I also think the hotel should provide a breakfast voucher to at least get a drink and croissant from the cafe downstairs
Stayed for two nights prior to boarding a gulet for a week long cruise along the coast so chose the Orka for it's excellent location right on the harbour. Our room was a large sea facing with a great view of the harbour and plenty of storage. The room and hotel was clean and the bed comfortable. We found the staff to be friendly and very helpful. The hotel is perfectly located for going out and about in Fethiye with ease both walking and using the taxi rank right outside the hotel. A little noise overnight in keeping with the harbourside location but nothing that disturbed us. Four stars given rather than five due to the poor lighting in the bathroom but a good experience overall and would stay there again.
Arrived for 2 Night stay, checked in after late flight at 12.30am and straight to bed. Bed quite hard, needs new mattress andca single duvet on a kingsize bed. Noise from outside kept us awake, talking outside, persistent barking dog, all avoidable because the patio doors did not close properly which the Hotel knew because of evidence of previous work being done. Woken early in the morning by amplified music on the adjacent public square so got up and went out to walk and get breakfast. After a walk decided we were tired and needed a nap so headed back for some sleep. My husband decided to run the jacuzzi bath only to find the tap was disconnected from the bath and there was no hot water either. We politely discussed this with reception and said we were checking out in the morning but I think the fair solution was to refund the upgrade price between a standard room and the jacuzzi room because the Jacuzzi was inoperable. The receptionist said the Manager was not there and we should discuss again at checkout. At checkout the morning receptionist knew nothing about our issue. I asked him to contact the manager and explain our situation. The Manager refused the partial refund, said we should have reported it on arrival (difficult given our late arrival time) and we were due nothing. The receptionist i felt sorry for because he just doesnt have the authority to help guests when a problem occurs. Seriously unimpressed, problems can happen but the Orka management were absent, unable to listen or react which i am surprised about because Orka has a good name in the area. Despite being in a great central location it appears unloved, unmanned, unmanaged and lacks any form of quality guest experience.
