Club Tuana Fethiye

TLDR: My partner and I had a wonderful week-long trip to Club Tuana in Fethiye, and we would 100% stay again and recommend it to others. Initially, I had some anxiety after reading the mixed reviews on this hotel leading up to our holiday. This was primarily due to criticisms of the running of the hotel, including staff, entertainment, and the all-inclusive, but our experience was fantastic.

This will be a long, in-depth review to assist future guests. To make things easier, each section will be captioned to help find the information needed. Please see below an honest review of our experience booking with EasyJet Holidays as a young couple under 30 with no children.

Arrival Our landing at Dalaman Airport was early due to the wind, and the baggage claim was extremely quick. The EasyJet desk was outside the airport exit, where our group transfer driver greeted us. We had a 20-minute wait before heading off in the bus, allowing us to stretch our legs and have a refreshment. There were 4 groups on the bus, and due to the location, Club Tuana was the first drop-off. The journey was approximately 40 minutes.

Checking in at the hotel was quick and easy. Bell boys wait to take you and your cases to your room; they even have golf buggies for rooms farther away or for guests with mobility issues. Please note: there is no all-inclusive wristband. However, when we went out to Fethiye for the day and returned to the hotel, we had to show security our room key to be allowed back on site.

Room We stayed in a Deluxe Club Double Room with Garden View, number 1524. The room was large, modern and comfortable, with a huge king-size bed and comfy pillows. There were two doors leading to a wide balcony with a table and chairs and a generous drying rack for towels and swimming garments. There are very limited TV channels (unless you want international news), but the WIFI was strong enough for me to stream Grey's Anatomy while we were there.

The bathroom had a traditional bath with an enclosed shower. The bath was quite high up, and we both noted that it wasn't the easiest to get in and out of. Room service changed our towels daily, along with restocking the fridge with water and beer, making the bed, etc. The cleaner for our room was lovely, so chatty and helpful, and he even left towel swans on our bed!

Resort The resort is absolutely HUGE. We were constantly getting lost and finding new areas we hadn't seen before. We were there for a week and didn't even have the chance to look at the Sienna Side (formerly known as Park Side), so we can't comment on personal experience; however, we spoke to a few people staying in Sienna, and it sounded lovely.

Staff I'd seen so many negative reviews about staff and how rude they are. My personal experience couldn't be any further from this! Every single staff member said "good morning" or "hello" or smiled. They really cannot do enough for you, having a laugh and a chat with you. I can only assume that guests claiming the 'staff were rude' were actually the rude ones.

Pool area If we weren't at the beach, we were at the pool. For such a large resort, initially I thought the pool seemed slightly small, but there was ample room for guests to enjoy. It was cold but a refreshing break from the sun. There is consistent entertainment in this area of the hotel, including daily aqua aerobics classes, darts competitions, water polo, and a 12pm ritual of the staff gathering around the pool dancing to "Hey Baby" by DJ Otzi (you will know the routine by the end of your holiday if you want to or not).

We don't have children, but there was a fantastic splash pool with slides right next to the main pool - ideal for families and groups with multiple age ranges. There were also bigger water slides near the coffee bar, open at certain times of the day with a lifeguard.

We were pleasantly surprised that there weren’t any sunbed wars, unlike what we had seen in other reviews. Granted, most loungers right next to the pool go quickly, but there are sun loungers dotted around everywhere, and we always found one easily.

Beach area The beach was a lovely, private area filled with ample sun loungers. There's one main jetty in the middle of the beach with additional sun loungers and pavilions to rent. The beach is very rocky with lots of pebbles and shingle. We took swim shoes, and I would certainly recommend doing this, particularly if you have children/little ones.

The Veranda Restaurant This was the main restaurant at the resort with a buffet available 4 times a day (Breakfast 7-10:30am, Lunch 12:30-2pm, Dinner 7-9.30pm, Midnight Snacks 11pm-12am.) The menu theme changes daily with Turkish, Mediterranean, Asian and many more. They were all amazing. Towards the back of the buffet was a live cooking section with fresh pides, kebabs, meats and pastas, and my partner's go-to "beige station" with chips, wedges, chicken tenders, onion rings etc. There is literally something for everyone.

Near the ice-cream stand is the "baby corner" with facilities to heat baby milk. There was also a clearly labelled "diet" section and gluten-free section.

There is ample seating both inside and outside. One section of the outdoor area is a designated smoking area. There's also an outdoor area with a play park for children while parents can enjoy their meals.

Snack Bar Next to the main bar is the snack bar, open for "late breakfast" at 10:30-11:30am and snacks from 12:30-5pm. This was a condensed buffet with pizzas, chips, kebabs, and a small salad section. My favourite was the Tantuni wraps! Unlike the main Veranda restaurant, the snack bar doesn't have a dress code and allows swimwear. They also have disposable plates so you can take food back to your sun lounger.

À la Carte Restaurants There are 4 à la Carte restaurants on site. They all have set menus which can be viewed on the Club Tuana app when you book the restaurants. They book up quickly, so make your reservations ASAP! We ate at the Resturante Roma and enjoyed a 4-course Italian meal, including the most delicious beef tenderloin.

Entertainment I'm unsure what other guests were expecting, but I thought the entertainment was incredible (it reminded me of cruise ship-style entertainment). During the day, staff were constantly engaging guests in activities: football, archery, water polo, aerial yoga, air rifle shooting, volleyball, darts... it was endless. They even had a fantastic Oktoberfest event one afternoon with a BBQ, beer pong, music and lots of beer!

My jaw was on the floor at some of the evening entertainment. We saw dancers hanging from their hair, aerial performers in hoops & silks, fantastic saxophone to classic club tunes, on top of the classic quizzes and karaoke - it was impossible to get bored at Tuana!

Nightclub/Disco The onsite nightclub is a hidden gem for this resort. We arrived at the resort at around midnight and we could hear the music near the pool. It’s open from 11pm – 2am and it was never too busy when we went in there, so getting a drink is quick and easy. The DJ takes requests and plays songs in different languages. At one point, we were dancing in one big circle with other people from the UK, Bulgaria, Poland, and Russia. The staff working in the nightclub were happy to work until 2am, and then we would see them again in the morning working at the pool bar – they all work incredibly hard.

Spa As soon as we woke up on our first full day, we were collared by the Spa man. He can be pushy, but you can barter with him and get a good deal if you are interested in getting a treatment. We had access to the sauna & steam room before having a Turkish bath, body scrub, a couples massage, and a facial at the end for £160 for both of us.

Overall I think that many other guests from previous reviews have unrealistic expectations for the budget of this hotel and love to have something to moan about. But for the price we paid and the incredible time we had, we got far more than we paid for, with incredible food, drink, and experiences. We've never returned to a hotel before, but I'm already looking at going back to Tuana!

Firstly if you’re expecting 5 star luxury for 3 star prices this hotel is not for you! We have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel, in all we had 3 rooms for 5 of us all were deluxe club rooms and were exceptional! - the hotel is spotless grounds are stunning staff mostly amazing and the food wow if you can’t find something there really is something wrong with you!, I’ve seen people posting a lot of negative comments re food and being ill all I can say is I never experienced this the only thing I witnessed was people over indulging in food and booze from morning until night and I believe that’s the problem not the hotel - staff work tirelessly to keep the place spotless both in the restaurants and bars even pool toilets were immaculate! The facilities are fabulous and the lifeguards on the pier are the nicest people ever! made so much time for my son even helped him to catch a fish! The speciality restaurants are out of this world my favourite was Pelagos and wow what an awesome experience The all inclusive drinks are brilliant mostly branded and both Stella and effes on tap! The limoncello spritz is the bomb - thank you for an unforgettable time would return in a heartbeat ❤️

Club Tuana was a bit of a mixed bag for us. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the evening entertainment was really good most nights, so there are definitely some positives.

That said, I think it’s much better suited to families than couples. There’s no dedicated coffee shop like you get in a lot of hotels, or even a bar in reception where you can sit, relax and have a drink. It just felt like there weren’t many places for couples to chill out.

The food was pretty mediocre and often cold, and the coffee was awful! We also found it strange that we had to get our own drinks in the restaurant, especially when the food was already cold to begin with. The staff didn’t seem particularly happy to help either.

Another thing I didn’t understand was having to pay extra at the cocktail and juice bars when it’s supposed to be all-inclusive. I can understand charging for things like popcorn and sweets, but drinks?

The rooms weren’t great either. The beds were rock hard, there was no proper duvet, just a thin blanket, and the balcony was barely big enough for one chair! The soundproofing was terrible too. We could actually hear the person next door snoring, so ended up putting the air conditioning on just to drown it out. Unfortunately, that made the room freezing and there was no heating option.

The Wi-Fi was practically non-existent. As soon as you connected, it would drop out, and even in areas where you’d expect it to work, it didn’t. Really frustrating!

It’s a shame because the grounds really are lovely and we enjoyed the entertainment, but there were just too many things that let it down. We still managed to enjoy our holiday, but I wouldn’t rush back, especially as a couple.
