This luxurious 96 apartment hotel, is set between the Algarve Countryside and the Algarve International Racetrack, which allows you to combine the pleasures of the the South of Portugal with the adrenaline from the Portimão's track. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Although it is far away from tourist attractions and big cities, it is exactly why we liked it. Very relaxing, surrounded by nature and beautiful mountains. Our room was overlooking the mountain and was really quiet and nice. Bathroom is big, bedding is comfortable, breakfast impeccable. You can also enjoy the jaccouzi, gym and sauna for free. We stayed at the hotel so I am not sure about the apartments.
Arrived in Algarve around 09:00 so knowing that we can’t checked in yet so we went to Albufeira to spend the day. Arrived at hotel around 15:30 to be told that our room wasn’t ready when check in time should be 15:00! Waited for another hour and I kept chasing as we’ve had a long day!! Wasn’t apologetic and simply be told “It’ll be ready when it’s ready!” by the receptionist! No reasoning, nothing….
Next day no towels were provided and when requested for towels, to be told “Housekeeping finished for the day! Tomorrow we will bring towels!” We had to use hand towels as bath towels for the night.
Did we get towels for the day? No as housekeeping didn’t clean the room until we chased up again and again and again! It’s so frustrating so I walked up to reception and asked for towels and room to be cleaned!
I don’t think they should’ve accepted our reservation knowing they’re unable to cope when there’s races happening as no one chose to be in the out of place hotel except us as we are big fan of F1!!
Next time round I’ll stay elsewhere and drive to the races since we’ve got a car! Not our first rodeo to Algarve as we constantly pop over just for the sun!!
So let down as it was our annual Mother & Daughter before University trip!! We’ll be in Algarve again in December and Algarve Race Resort won’t be our choice!!
The hotel seemed okay at first, until we went out by the pool and had to endure screaming motorcycles participating in open track activities. The racetrack is in this hotels backyard.
I am an vehicle enthusiast and ride bikes myself, but I did NOT travel 4500 miles to experience the Algarve region of Portugal to be subjected to the incessant whine of high powered sports bikes.
When we decided not to stay after 1 hour on premises we were given a hard sell to stay. We were forced to stand around for 20 full minutes until the manager could find the time to make the pitch. But we could not be persuaded.
Upon returning home, we discovered that the hotel would not even offer a partial refund of our three nights.
I would have understood them keeping a single nights fees...but all 3 !?!
This is robbery pure and simple. I could perhaps understand if they were full...but the place was practically deserted.
Very unhappy with the entire experience.
Unless you are a re a die hard race fan, I suggest you find something quieter and not as far from the coast.
Good hotel, fantastic service and food was very good
I’ve stayed here before… was hoping for some improvement this visit & it was not my first choice… it seems all the real “5 star “ Hotels were fully booked. Restaurant and Bar seems to be better than my previous experience and the buffet was nice . Friday 7th November we set off to walk to the Autodromo .. but “How “ not one sign anywhere! Following another group behind the old pool building we trampled our way through bush and scrambled down the banking ( falling and hurting my knee ) why Is there not a path ?? Clearly it’s needed . Saturday 8th we walked again looking around … this resort is poor , rubbish by the grounds , bins overflowing, buildings crumbling, gardens a mess … it’s a real shame as it could be great ..
