Beautiful location, incredible staff, beautiful rooms! Was saddened upon arrival learning there's construction and the restaurants they advertise on the website are not there OR closed. With that said, the buffet was well worth it, great selection and an amazing display. Maybe if the website stated: under construction etc. we'd have known exactly what to expect. Still a beautiful resort. I know there's a lot offered for the guests but the gym hours are horrible.
Stayed here for a few nights, and we really enjoyed our stay, which was made beautiful by all the staff we met from different departments. Mariam from the reservations team, thanks for a swift, clear, and quick response in mails and phone calls, making sure that guests understand well, what to expect in Boabab, especially this time there are some renovations going on.🫡 Mirriam from housekeeping, thank you for sorting out laundry services after an incident in the restaurant.👏 Humprey and the entire poolbar team, thank you for always making us feel at home in the hotel.👍 The security team, from the main entrance to the beach entrances, is doing a very good job.🫡 Chef Samuel and the kitchen staff, thank you. You are kind and welcoming.Food was really yummy👌 Ephraim and the entire service team, thank you for going extra miles for us.🤝 Reuben at the pool, passionately assisting guests, good job 👏
Id say this is a very genuine review. I don't often write them and myself and my family are really not fussy at all, but had to genuinely let people know what our experience was. Its an average resort, I'd say its more 3.5 stars to 4/5 star.
Pros: Staff are nice, food is average but ok.
Cons: As an all inclusive resort it is far off from where it needs to be.
Our stay at Baobab Resort got off to an extremely disappointing start. We arrived at around 10:30 a.m. and fully understood that official check-in might not be immediate. However, instead of being kept informed or offered any meaningful assistance, we were simply left waiting in the lobby until 1:00 p.m. with little communication. It gave the impression that guest experience was not a priority. The disappointment didn't end there. We were then allocated what appeared to be the last available room—right next to an active construction site. The constant noise completely defeated the purpose of booking a relaxing beach holiday. When we requested a room change, we were bluntly told the resort was fully booked, with no attempt to offer a solution or any gesture to make up for the inconvenience. It's difficult to understand why a room adjacent to ongoing construction would be assigned to guests when the resort is aware of the disturbance. At the very least, guests should be informed in advance or offered an alternative if one becomes available. For a resort that markets itself as a premium holiday destination, this level of service and consideration is simply unacceptable. First impressions matter, and ours was one of poor planning, poor communication, and complete disregard for guest comfort. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations, and I would think twice before returning or recommending the resort to others.
Our family had a wonderful 2-night stay at Baobab Beach Resort & Spa in Diani Beach! Traveling with our 1-year-old was made so much easier thanks to the incredible staff. A special thank you to Mejumaa, who went above and beyond by helping us clean up the many baby food messes with kindness and a smile. Your patience and care meant so much to our family. Another big thank you to Hamadi for crafting the best cocktails we enjoyed during our stay every drink was perfectly made and added to our relaxing vacation. The beautiful beachfront, delicious food, warm hospitality, and family-friendly atmosphere made this a memorable getaway. We truly felt welcomed and can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend for families visiting Diani!
