The Local Area
This elegant resort hotel has a spectacular location overlooking Wolmar Beach near Flic-en-Flac on the western side of the island. The white sand stands out in sharp contrast to the sparkling clear blue waters of the lagoon and the deeper blue of Le Morne Mountain in the background. Built in typical cool airy Mauritian style, the resort stands in beautifully landscaped gardens with thatch roofed open sided restaurant and bar overlooking the large pool and the beach beyond.

One of my favourite hotels ever
It was truly an incredible experience, nothing but amazing. The room, food, staff, activities, cocktails, scenery, absolutely wonderful. One of the very best hotels I’ve ever been to across multiple countries and destinations. I hope to come back one day, certainly if I return to Mauritius.
Outstanding gluten-free dining thanks to Ashvin's exceptional service!
We had a wonderful experience dining at the Tamarind Restaurant during our stay at Sands Suites. What truly made our meals stress-free and memorable was the outstanding service from our waiter, Ashvin.My wife needs to eat gluten-free, which can often be difficult when traveling, but Ashvin went completely above and beyond for her. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, carefully walked her through the safe options, and made sure her meals were prepared perfectly and safely.His genuine care, attentiveness, and warm hospitality made us feel incredibly looked after. Thank you, Ashvin, for your exceptional service—you made our dining experience truly special!
Paradise in Flic-en-Flac
We had an incredible stay at Sands Suites. From the moment of our arrival until we left, all staff treated us with exceptional care and warmth. Poolside and beach staff were very attentive, and concierge were happy to help with any request including arranging travel around the island. What we loved about Sands Suites was the intimate, relaxing feeling. The rooms are lovely and spacious, and the facilities are perfectly equipped for all guests. The pool looking onto Tamarin and Le Morne is stunning, and the use of water equipment elevated the beach experience. Breakfasts and dinners allowed us to experience a variety of cuisines, all done to an exceptionally high standard. Although a quite complex, evening entertainment such as musicians allowed us to enjoy the evenings in the bar. Whilst it would be easy to spend all the time at Sands Suites, we also enjoyed going into Flic-en-Flac, which is accessible by the beach and also taxi. We would highly recommend Sands Suites to anybody visiting Mauritius and certainly hope to return ourselves!

Great stay at Sands
We had a great stay at the hotel, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. The view of the hotel is amazing. Highly recommend it.
BREATHE-TAKING
Excellent buffet food at the restaurant, both breakfast and dinner, with themed evenings. Rooms were spacious and well-equipped, with a breathtaking ocean view. Meticulous cleanliness throughout all areas. The infinity pool by the beach/ocean was thrilling, with heated water. The spa was small but functional, and dedicated. Staff were courteous and kind, attentive and caring. No children on site.
The main swimming spot was spoiled by the central rocks, whereas 500 meters away there was endless beach and gorgeous sea. Perhaps there was too much constant attention from the staff even when everything was fine — managing every little movement with extreme care (arranging beach towels, cleaning sunglasses, pouring water, moving loungers, etc.). Maybe it's just that we're not used to that level of attentiveness, which at times felt tiring when trying to relax, read, or just be lost in one's own thoughts. Too much Italian clientele, better international one. Girls Staff are the best, amazing!
