Our honeymoon at Sands Suites Resort & Spa in Mauritius is a healing and unforgettable experience of our lifetime. This is our first visit to this beautiful multicultural island. We felt the warmth, inclusiveness and sincere hospitality that embody the spirit of Mauritius. We are fortunate to have chosen this resort. Every staff member carries the island’s gentle welcoming culture, making our overseas honeymoon warm, romantic and exceeding our expectations.

We wish to express our admiration and gratitude to the hotel Director. During our stay, we noticed his elegant demeanor and genuine passion for hospitality. His sincere attitude helps us understand why the resort maintains high service standards and nurtures such a friendly, attentive team. Thanks to his steady management, we enjoyed such a wonderful experience.

Our sincere thanks go to hotel manager Sunny. From arrival to departure, he looked after our whole honeymoon journey. He holds rich knowledge of local Mauritian culture and resort services, paired with humorous conversation and great patience. As visitors unfamiliar with local customs and travel plans, all our questions and difficulties were resolved efficiently and professionally by him. His friendly manner made us feel at home in a foreign land and eased our anxiety of travelling overseas.

Special thanks to Vick for his pleasant company every night. After enjoying the stunning tropical scenery and joyful activities during the day, his sincere interaction and warm companionship kept our happiness going. His friendliness made each evening of our honeymoon relaxing and sweet, filled with lovely little moments.

We are also grateful to Kevin. With Sunny’s thoughtful arrangement and Kevin’s meticulous personalized service, our private honeymoon dinner was romantic and cozy. Delicate decor, soft lighting and thoughtful details created a unique honeymoon ritual, becoming an impressive highlight of our Mauritius trip.

We also thank Krishna and Sundesh warmly. They assisted us with booking sea excursions. They patiently introduced various ocean activities, explained schedules and practical travel tips, and completed all booking procedures smoothly for us. Thanks to their support, our ocean outing went flawlessly and turned out wonderful.

In addition, we sincerely thank all other resort staff. Everyone we met was warm, polite and enthusiastic. From room attendants and restaurant team to on-site service personnel, all greeted us with genuine smiles and offered proactive help. Their warm reception fully reflects Mauritius’ fine tradition of hospitality, inclusive and sincere to every traveller.

The resort boasts breathtaking sea views, elegant surroundings and complete facilities. What makes this journey special is the kindness, sincerity and professionalism of every team member. Your service follows the island’s tradition of treating guests sincerely and leaves us with lasting memories.

We stayed here end of September beginning of October. The weather was hot but occasionally overcast - don't trust the weather apps they were constantly wrong Upon arrival we were greeted by the reception staff and the Manager which was a nice touch and our room was ready immediately which we were very grateful for especially as we arrived at 7am. The whole time we were there the rooms and facilities were spotless. We made full use of the spa which was the perfect wind down and we enjoyed the free water sports on offer. The food was varied and even though I can be a picky eater I was able to choose food and was never disappointed. Every member of staff we met was very friendly and so polite. This was a holiday of a lifetime for me to celebrate a special birthday, thanks to everyone at Sands Suites Resort and Spa who truly went above and beyond. Special thanks to Haider who looked after us on the beach and was always smiling and nothing was too much trouble, Win for the walks and history on Mauritius, Sonny for his ever friendly chats and Ivan - for the mad but thoroughly enjoyable aqua gym. One of the highlights for us was watching the bats fly into the trees right near the balcony during the sunsets which were also stunning.
