We stayed here after being at the Hyatt Regency in Da Nang. The Royal Hotel in Hoi An was a masterclass in customer service (the complete opposite of the Hyatt). It was charming with great facilities and offered excellent value
A must
Hotel Royal Hoi An is excellently located within walking distance from the old town. The level of service and cleanliness is of top notch. We had the opportunity to dine at the hotel in all of the three nights we stayed there, and the food and service provided by all the restaurant staff was impeccable - passionate service with a smile all the way.
Go for a deluxe room. Strongly recommended to all those who enjoy being well looked after!

Disappointed in Hoi An
The rooms are tired and lack any interior design quality. Room service was slow. Roof top bar has a great view, but the pool area is tatty.

A Royal feel…..
We absolutely loved staying at this hotel from its grand entrance, to the friendly and helpful staff, the delicious food from the restaurant - have to shout out to the Pork Ribs yummy!!! The super king room was comfortable and everything we needed for our two night stay. We loved the rooftop bar as it allowed you to see the surrounding streets and we cannot forget the beautiful pool area outside reception where you can cool off from the heat of the day. You will enjoy your stay here and will not want to leave! Thank you Luxury Escapes for booking the Hotel Royal Hoi An, absolutely loved this hotel.

Absolutely loved our stay – beautiful hotel in a fantastic location
We absolutely loved our stay at the Royal Hotel Hoi An. The hotel is in a beautiful older building that has been thoughtfully restored, with lots of character while still feeling clean, comfortable, very well maintained and actually quite beautiful
Our room was lovely and we had a gorgeous view over the town and river. The location is fantastic!! you can easily walk into the Old Town and there are loads of restaurants, shops and things to explore nearby. Having direct access out towards the river was also lovely and made the whole hotel feel very connected to Hoi An.
The staff were incredible, genuinely warm, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and always happy to recommend places to go, things to see and somewhere good to eat. The service really added to our experience.
There are two pools, one upstairs and one downstairs, and both were great with a lovely atmosphere. We had initially been a little worried that the hotel might not be particularly child-friendly, but we had absolutely no trouble travelling with two young children. They loved the pools and felt very welcomed by the hotel.
Breakfast was also fantastic, with plenty of choice and a really enjoyable atmosphere. There’s a pool table downstairs and bikes available to hire, which were nice additional additional touches. Also the laundry rates were very reasonable which was much appreciated when travelling with kids!
After staying at several resorts during our trip, including the Hyatt in da nang this was easily our favourite hotel experience. It had the combination we were looking for—a beautiful hotel, great pools, genuinely lovely staff and, importantly, a location where you can simply walk out the door and immediately have restaurants, the river and the Old Town to explore.
All in all, a wonderful stay and somewhere we would happily return to. Would strongly recommend!!
