RiverTown Hoi An Resort and Spa

My family stayed at RiverTown Hoi An Resort & Spa for two nights in October 2026. I'll admit, I wasn't entirely convinced about RiverTown at first. Having just come from another hotel, I found myself comparing the facilities and location. However, by the end of our stay, my opinion had completely changed.

We arranged our airport transfer through the hotel, which went smoothly. The vehicle comfortably accommodated our entire group (my family plus another family) and luggage, and our friendly driver pointed out attractions along the way, even offering to stop for coffee near Marble Mountain.

The hotel had a lovely appearance, with timber structures surrounded by greenery. Check-in was welcoming, with drinks, refreshing towels, and staff helping with our luggage.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with two interconnected sleeping areas, two bathrooms and a balcony overlooking the river. The beds were comfortable, air-conditioning worked well, and we had no issues with the room. There was little to no traffic noise, and if so, definitely didn't impact my family. The filtered drinking water stations were also a nice touch, situated at different locations around the hotel.

I initially thought the hotel might be a little too far from Hội An Ancient Town and the touristy areas, but the location actually turned out to be ideal for us. We could easily walk into town, explore the night market and return to somewhere quieter, away from the constant approaches from vendors. Grab was also cheap and convenient, and there were laundry services nearby.

The main swimming pool was great, with surprisingly warm water, plenty of sun loungers and a relaxed atmosphere. It does have a genuinely deep end, so something to be mindful of with younger children. The smaller children's pool was closed for maintenance during our stay, but this didn't bother us.

Breakfast was delicious, with a good buffet selection. Staff were attentive and would usually approach us shortly after being seated to offer drinks, including barista-made coffee and Vietnamese iced milk coffee.

What really impressed me, though, was the service. Throughout our stay, staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and made an effort to communicate in saying hello.

While packing to check out, I realised I had misplaced my wallet, and after searching everywhere, I informed reception and eventually accepted that it was lost.

Later, after we'd arrived at our next hotel in Da Nang, we received an unexpected call. RiverTown's housekeeping team had found my wallet, and the hotel had taken the initiative to contact our new accommodation and arrange its return by Grab. About two hours later, my wallet arrived carefully wrapped to my next accommodation.

I was genuinely impressed. They could have simply waited for me to contact them again, or even just not do anything. But instead went out of their way to proactive help, even after we'd checked out and travelled to another city. That demonstrated the level of service I received from them.

Looking back, RiverTown may not have had the most extensive facilities of the hotels we visited, but it certainly made up for it with its people. The comfortable rooms, convenient location, enjoyable pool and good breakfast all contributed to a great stay. RiverTown ended up being one of the standout hotel experiences of our holiday.

I'd happily stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Good location,clean rooms and staff are super helpful. 2 nice swimming pools to enjoy swimming. The hotel provides bicycle to move around the town and also transport to and from the beach. Highly recommend this hotel

Amazing hotel with brilliant staff and facilities. Super helpful with providing a wheelchair after I had a fall elsewhere. Prices were excellent, room service and pool bar had huge selection and was tasty. Breakfast buffet superb. In house massage was amazing - 3 hours for approx AUD120. Will definitely return, highly recommend for location, staff, service, price.
