Love my experience its the best! Kim Thao always pour big drinks for me! Mr Sang always give great suggestions for meals, omg so much help from the staff.
We had a wonderful family stay at Renaissance Danang Hoi An Resort & Spa, and what we will remember most is not only the resort itself, but the genuine warmth and hospitality of the people working here.
From the moment we arrived, everyone - from the crew at the entrance to the Front Office team - treated us with sincere care. When we needed to change rooms during our stay, the entire process was handled so smoothly and seamlessly that it caused virtually no inconvenience. Everything was well coordinated, allowing our family to remain comfortable and simply continue enjoying our vacation.
One experience in particular showed us what genuine hospitality really means.
During our stay, our young son suddenly experienced some eye irritation and discomfort. My wife took him to a pharmacy in town to buy eye drops, but then realized she did not have enough cash with her. When Linh from the Front Office learned what had happened, she immediately offered to pay for the medicine with her own money and simply told us not to worry.
The amount was not important. What mattered was her kindness at a moment when we were concerned about our child in a foreign country. It was a small gesture in one sense, but an incredibly meaningful one for our family. Linh made us feel that we were being cared for not merely as hotel guests, but as people. We sincerely hope the hotel management recognizes her for this.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the food at the resort, and our spa experiences were excellent. A special thank you to Vi, Trang and Giang at the spa, who were both extremely kind, attentive and professional. Their warm service added another very positive memory to our stay.
The only disappointment was that we could not really enjoy the resort's beach because of the ongoing coastal erosion restoration work. We understood that this was related to the broader restoration and protection of the coastline and was outside the hotel's control, so we certainly do not blame the resort for it. Traveling with a young child also made using an alternative beach less practical for us.
As a result, we spent more time at the resort and mainly explored Hoi An Old Town rather than seeing as much of Hoi An and Da Nang as we originally planned. In hindsight, however, that gave us more time to enjoy Renaissance itself - and we are very glad we did.
We were already scheduled to move to another hotel in Da Nang after this stay, but we left Renaissance feeling that we could easily have stayed longer.
Beautiful property, good food and excellent service - but above all, truly wonderful people.
Thank you to Linh, Vi, Trang, Giang, the Front Office team and everyone who made our family feel so welcome.
We would be very happy to return, hopefully next time when the restored beach can be enjoyed as well.
Our three-bedroom villa was spacious and had a luxurious beachfront house design with a large garden and swimming pool. The location was very quiet, but we couldn’t swim in the beach due to construction from morning until afternoon during our stay. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the pool at the back of the villa.
The breakfast buffet was limited compared to our expectations for a five-star resort in Vietnam. The dinner menu was similar to the buffet, but overall the staff were super friendly.
The receptionists, especially Jane (Giang), were extremely nice and helpful. Uyen also assisted us in booking a sailing tour in the coconut forest (Rung Dua 7 Mau). I was also guided to various places to visit in Hoi An’s ancient town. Special thanks to Giang and Uyên for providing exceptional five-star services!
I travelled with my daughter through Vietnam for 3 weeks and the Renaissance was our last stop where we stayed for 12 nights, more like 12 nights too long. The Hotel is in a nice location, right at the end of the long beach which we could use but understandable (due to last years storm the beach was nearly fully destroyed but the government rebuilt it and beach will be open in 1-2 weeks time). Check in was very as they only had 3 staff working (not enough for such a hotel). All went downhill the moment we entered our room, shocking to be honest. Walls were dirty, paint of the furniture came off and the wooden floor panels had gaps in between. Luckily the room director was very helpful and she changed our room and we could shift to the Junior Suite 2 days later. Room was in a much better condition but still, the shower head rail came off the wall, wall tiles were not aligned and you could see where the wall paper came off and the tried to fix it. Best was when our ac in the entrance hall started leaking and we had a small pool of water (thank god the fixed it but if you should stay ever in suite 7421, check if they have painted the ceiling where the leakage was). Unfortunately there was sometimes a very bad small in the corridors which they tried to cover with defusing oil and yes, even the walls in the corridors were sometimes in a bad condition.
Pro of out stay: The staff were very helpful and kind (Simon, Front Office Manager was very helpful when it came to complains), breakfast buffet was great and they had different cousins. The property is truly wonderful with lush and well maintained greenery. Shuttle bus to ancient Hoi A was also a benefit. Spa is great so it was wonderful to get pampered, gym is also good. My daughter made some new friends
Contra of the stay:
Dinner buffet was boring and they never changed the food, even same set menu every day (luckily we ate in the small restaurant opposite the hotel and the food there was amazing, or we ate in town). The rooms are not a Renaissance standard (they took over the hotel 3 years ago and had time to do some small renovations) as room walls are dirty, furniture is damaged etc. the complete hotel needs a total refurbishment. Pool was clean when we came but after a few days was cloudy and I had to tell Simon to clean the pool and surprise, they did (seems they listen to us Marriott Bonvoy Members). Local guests that stayed in the hotel even had a bbq picnic at night by the pool, hotel didn’t do much about it.
Would I stay again when I come to this area, definitely not and I honestly speaking can’t wait for the Marriott Hoi An to open.
We had a wonderful stay at Renaissance Danang Hoi An Resort & Spa. We are a family of five with children aged 9 to 14, and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and comfortable, the service was excellent, and both the breakfast and dinner were delicious.
The hotel facilities are outstanding and the atmosphere is so peaceful. The swimming pool and the beach are definitely the highlights. We also loved the wide variety of food available throughout our stay.
A special thank you to the amazing staff who made our holiday even more enjoyable. To the reception team—Khanh, Liên, Hannah, and Uri—thank you for your warm welcome and for taking such good care of us from the moment we arrived until we left.
A special mention as well to Kim Thao at the bar, who was always so friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
Finally, thank you to everyone else—the pool staff, restaurant team, concierge, and all the employees who greeted us with a smile every day. Your kindness and professionalism truly made a difference.
We highly recommend Renaissance Danang Hoi An Resort & Spa and will definitely be back on our next visit to Vietnam.
