- Hoi An Historic Hotel

This charming and luxurious hotel is the best accommodation option for both business and leisure travellers alike, seeking a nice place to rest and discover the authentic Vietnamese culture and history.
This establishment is a short stroll from the old town and the beautiful Cua Dai beach lies 4 kilometres away. In addition, Danang international airport is only 35 kilometres from the premises.
Everyone who stays at this hotel will feel the enchanting and healing air that can be breathed in its interiors. Both guest rooms and suites are spacious and designed in a contemporary style and a soothing colour palette.
At this hotel guests will find many entertainment, dining and health facilities, as it includes tennis courts, a wellness centre and an outdoor swimming pool with a hot tub where guests will be able to relax while the little ones enjoy at the games room.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
One of the friendliest hotels I’ve stayed in. Great food, lovely clean rooms and delicious cocktails suggested by barman Quok. Highly recommended.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We Came for Hoi An. We’ll Come Back Because of Quôc.
This review is NOT incentivized. We paid for our entire stay, received nothing in exchange for this review, and everything I’m sharing is based solely on our personal experience.
Sometimes the person you meet becomes part of the memory of the place.
That is exactly what happened to us at Hoi An Historic Hotel. My husband and I came to Hoi An intending to stay for a week so we could take our time exploring beautiful Old Town. We originally booked another hotel based on the photos we saw online.
Let’s just say...the photos and reality were not exactly acquainted. 😂
We knew almost immediately that we could not spend an entire week there.
So there we were, back online searching for another hotel, except now we were skeptical of EVERYTHING we saw. We found Hoi An Historic Hotel, saw they had availability for the week, and decided we weren’t booking anything else based on pictures. We walked over.
And the moment we entered the property, the difference was obvious.
Beautiful, meticulously maintained grounds. Lush greenery. A gorgeous pool. That classic architecture that feels completely at home in Hoi An. And before we could even wonder where to go, members of the staff were already approaching us to see how they could help.
We explained our situation and asked if we could see the room BEFORE booking.
Absolutely.
The receptionist graciously showed us the room, and that was it. We booked our week.
And we were SO HAPPY we did.
The property is beautiful during the day, but there was something especially lovely about it in the evening. The lights came on, the pool glowed, the gardens settled into the night, and the whole place had this peaceful energy that made you want to slow down and stay awhile.
Breakfast was included every morning, and when I say breakfast, I do not mean a few pastries and some coffee. 😂
It was a FULL buffet-style spread with so many choices that you could eat something completely different every morning.
Everything we tried was delicious. Then there was the pool.
Warm water. Beautiful surroundings. Plenty of space to relax. Some days we went out exploring Hoi An. Other days, we were perfectly happy staying right there at the hotel.
And THAT is how we met Quôc.
Nguyên Quôc, according to his name tag. ❤️
There are people who work in hospitality because it is their job. Then there are people who seem to understand hospitality as something much more human.
Quôc is one of those people.
His energy caught our attention almost immediately. Warm. Genuine. Kind. Easy to talk to. Every day that we spent lounging around the hotel, Quôc took care of us. But after a while, it stopped feeling like someone simply doing his job.
We talked. We laughed. We learned about each other’s lives. We learned that his sister lives in America and that he had recently gotten married. Before we left, we exchanged social media, took a photo together, and said goodbye to someone who no longer felt like “the bartender at our hotel.”
He felt like a friend we happened to meet in Vietnam. That matters to me.
Because years from now, I probably won’t remember every breakfast item I ate. I may not remember which chair I sat in beside the pool.
But I will remember Quôc.
Some people become part of your memory of a place, and every time you think about that place afterward, somehow you think about them too.
That is what he gave us. And THAT is hospitality.
We already know we’ll return to Hoi An Historic Hotel. The property is beautiful, the location is wonderful for experiencing Hoi An, the breakfast was excellent, the pool was fantastic, and the staff treated us incredibly well.
But if I’m being completely truthful, there is one person who makes us especially want to come back.
Quôc.
Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for your smile. Thank you for taking such good care of us. And thank you for being exactly who you are.
We came to Hoi An looking for a hotel.
We left with a friend.
See you again soon, Quôc. ❤️
Unbeatable location, very cozy charming hotel right in center . Staff very courteous, helpful, say hi @ each encounter great breakfast , in the beautiful garden will come back to this hotel the next visit
Historic hotel truly lives up to its name . It’s monumental . Very well managed . The first time I been to hotel and the staff comes to the table to ask if there is anything they can do to help us improve our stay . Any issues we have with the room? But we had no issues at all so it’s was all super ! I was travelling w 2 80 year olds and the hotel was elderly friendly too ! Location was very convenient too. Buggy service for a small fee was super helpful ! It was a delightful stay! Special shout out to ms kiew(kieu?) for her gently gracious yet highly efficient professionalism . Cam ngon !!
Excellent location with minutes walk to the Ancient Town; hotel staff are very friendly especially Ms Kieu. Highly recommend this hotel to those 1st time to HoiAn.
