Bel Marina Hoi An Resort

We had a lovely stay at Bel Marina. Because we were staying for a week we were given daily sessions at the spa, which became a highlight of our stay. The spa is really well run and very clean. Every service we had there was great (thanks, Nguyen!)

Breakdown options were solid as well. The breakfast staff were nice (Angel, in particular!)

We borrowed bicycles to ride around the city. Bikes were well maintained and always plenty available. The front entry staff were also super friendly.

We did a couple of the afternoon activities with our daughter (coconut leaf art and lantern making) and these were a lovely low-key (and free) family activity.

The pool was nice but it was a little hard to get a spot by the pool and it would get very busy in the afternoons with the pool bar.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It's in a great location (well situated by out of the hustle and bustle). We would stay here again for sure.

Our stay here was absolutely incredible. A huge shoutout to Alice from reception, who was fantastic! She went above and beyond—answering all of our questions, seamlessly organizing our local tours, and quickly sorting out an adapter for our room.

The exceptional service didn't stop there; all the staff were wonderful, from the welcoming security team at the entrance to the friendly restaurant crew and the diligent housekeepers. The attention to detail was top-notch—our bed was made multiple times a day and our water was always kept refilled.

The resort itself is beautiful and perfectly located. It gives you the best of both worlds: stunning, peaceful river views away from the main crowds, yet it's just a short, convenient 5-to-10-minute walk across the bridge to the heart of the Old Town and the Night Market. The rooms are clean and spacious, and we absolutely loved spending time by the main pool, which was incredibly relaxing. We can't fault our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hoi An.

What an amazing place! A huge thank you to Ly at reception, who was one of the highlights of our stay. She provided a level of personalised service that really stood out and made a genuine difference to our family’s experience.

From the moment we arrived, Ly welcomed us warmly, shared helpful local tips, and gave us her WhatsApp details so we could contact her with any questions or requests during our stay. What impressed us most was that she didn’t just arrange things and move on, she genuinely took the time to help.

She organised a jewellery workshop for us and, when a gemstone was damaged afterwards, she personally contacted the shop to help us resolve it. She also called around Hoi An to find a tailor who could create a uniquely designed suit jacket for my wife, helped source specific fabric for my mother, and even offered to accompany my wife to the bank when she lost her card.

Ly was also incredibly kind with our two children (7 and 3), especially during the resorts lantern-making class. When our son was looking for a specific toy, Ly went out of her way to help us find a shop that had it. These thoughtful gestures showed how much she cared about making our family feel welcome.

I should also mention the wider team at Bel Marina Resort. From the housekeeping staff and chefs to the bar team and maintenance staff, concierge, porters and doormen, everyone we met was friendly, welcoming, and always greeted us warmly throughout our stay. It was clear that the positive atmosphere extended across the whole resort.

The resort itself was excellent. We stayed for eight nights across two rooms, both were great, and we especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and serenity of the resort, a relaxing place to return to after exploring Hoi An. The pools, rooftop bar, breakfast, and easy walk into town all added to the experience.

A great resort with excellent facilities and staff, but it was Ly’s kindness, attention to detail, and personalised service that we will remember most.
