Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
My wife was very ill. We needed to wait for the villa to be ready for check in. We waited at the entrance of the Tides Spa. We explained that my wife was ill and needed to rest. Staff did not understand 1 word English. Because my wife became more ill she wanted to lie down. The 2 stupide staff must have called some sort of manager who came to tell my wife that she was not allowed to lie down. So for a Spa and Welness center they don't show any kind of care nor compassion towards potential customers. So our advice would be to not use any of their services.
I made the booking thru Booking.com and the hotel began to text me and harass me to pay outside of the terms of the agreement otherwise I would not be guaranteed availability. They basically sold it or wanted to sell it again since I had booked it much earlier for cheaper than the current going rate. This constant threat made me cancel my booking which is what I believe they ultimately wanted me to do in order to sell my booking at a higher rate. I will no longer trust this hotel for making bookings and it’s a shame as I would have been a returning customer. The staff were messaging me repeatedly to threatened me.
We spent four days at Ocean Villas Da Nang as a family with children. Our accommodation was a villa (L Villa), apparently operated by a private individual. We weren’t aware of this at the time of booking, as it was reserved via Booking.com. Unfortunately, this led to noticeably different treatment from the resort staff compared to guests who had booked directly with the hotel. We had the impression that we were not welcome.
Villa & Accommodation: The villa itself was spacious, modern, and very clean—ideal for a family. A major highlight was the private pool, which provided a lot of privacy. The contact person responsible for the villa was friendly and helpful. However, our luggage was not carried to the upper floor, which can be inconvenient for families with small children and a lot of baggage.
We had the option to have breakfast served in the villa, which initially sounded convenient. Unfortunately, the offering was not sufficient for six people. While the quality was acceptable, the portions were too small: coffee and juice were not enough for everyone, and the selection was unsatisfactory. Switching to the breakfast buffet was only possible for an additional charge.
The Ocean Villas grounds were very well-maintained and clean.
Service & Staff: Overall, the service was disappointing. Especially during breakfast at the restaurant, the staff appeared demotivated and unfriendly. Once our villa number became known, the treatment grew even more reserved. Replenishment was minimal, the coffee station was often empty, glasses were frequently missing, and tables were reluctantly or not at all reset. Simple tasks like tidying up blown-over objects or replacing damaged furniture were clearly neglected.
Breakfast & Facilities: The breakfast buffet was disappointing: limited selection, little freshness. If possible, it's better to order noodle soup directly. The large pool is beautifully located with a stunning view of the ocean, but cleanliness was lacking here as well: stained lounge cushions, beer glasses from the previous day left around, and the lifeguard was rarely seen. The beach itself was clean and beautiful, but again, there were not enough loungers and sun umbrellas available.
Other Pool Areas: The second pool was in significantly worse condition: unkempt, dirty, with moldy loungers in the water. The pool bar was closed, and there were hardly any bathing rules in place. Many guests swam in their underwear or street clothes.
Dinner & Evening Staff: We would like to highlight the evening service at the restaurant as a positive experience: a very friendly and motivated staff member noticeably improved our evenings. The food was of good quality, though priced on the higher side.
Conclusion: The location and potential of the resort are undeniable—especially the beach and the large pool are visually impressive. The resort itself is rather remote. However, the unequal treatment of guests, weak service, and lack of maintenance significantly diminished the overall experience. Those booking a villa through a third-party provider should be prepared for limited service and less friendly treatment.
Our family had an amazing stay here! Lily especially was incredibly helpful and even helped with the finding and delivery to the airport of an item we had left behind! Thank you Lily and Ocean Villas!
Worst resort in terms of behaviour. Over price in as compared to available places in danang. Instead of buying most expensive property they treat us like thief. Took money for everything in advance. Even cab charges they asked to pay in advance. Ar check out time entire team came in and strated cleaning while we were still in bathroom . Not worth. They say aprtment is beach facing but its too too far from beach and shuttle os required which they dont send easily.
