A beachfront suite and villa stay, which features Royal Suites and spacious private villas, set alongside the beautiful Non Nuoc Beach just 20 minutes from Hoi An, a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as Danang International Airport.
This luxury resort boasts an eclectic mix of contemporary design and Vietnamese heritage charm, inspired by early 20th century Indochinese features.
Enjoy a relaxing massage at the Spa or workout in the well-equipped fitness centre. Guests can make use of the large outdoor infinity pool or recharge at Monsoon Lounge, which overlooks the ocean.
Booked an ocean view 3 bed villa for a family of 4.
First impressions as we arrived were not great. No one greeted us with our arrival. Had to bring our suitcases up to lobby ourselves. This is not what we expected from 5* hotel.
No where to sit and wait with our welcome drink handed to us whilst we waited to see if we were in the right line for check in. Very chaotic.
However, on reflection it would appear that we arrived at a bad time. Everyone was checking in and out and the reception was super busy.
Now usually first impressions set the tone. After what was a messy wait for check in and then subsequently a let down about what villa we had been assigned, I must give immense credit to Rahul on front desk.
Rahul was brilliant and very understanding of our dissatisfaction at the villa we had been given. We arranged to move villas the next day thank you to Rahul who facilitated this.
Special mention to Anna on front desk who also on the day of moving helped with this. Thank you to Brian who was bell boy helping us move our luggage.
The villa we finally got was beautiful. Stunning ocean view. The villa itself is massive and had all the amenities and more. I’ve never been in such a beautiful space. The house keeping did a great job as well, thank you to Nga Thuy.
Breakfast was amazing so much choice! Dinner was also great and again the staff were wonderful.
Spa - I used this twice and the treatments were excellent. Tram from the spa also did a free kids club spa session which was so cute and my daughter loved it.
I would highly recommend you book onto the free garden tour as the ladies who ran this were amazing at explaining all the different fruits and herbs grown. I would also recommend booking coffee making class.
Unfortunately during our trip my daughter cut her foot deeply on the steps in our private pool. Staff handled this situation with immense care and consideration. 2 first aiders attended as did Martin front of house manager. They organised a taxi and member of staff to take us to hospital as the cut required stitches. Martin was brilliant checking in on us asking how things were. When we came back Rahul and Martin were there to greet us and make sure all was ok. The accident was unfortunate but handled so well by the staff.
I must say that the staff are so professional here. Everyone we encounter was so friendly and happy. The ground staff work so hard to keep the garden and grounds immaculate.
We really did enjoy our stay despite our initial disappointment and the accident in the pool, it was quickly resolved by the professionalism of the staff.
Location Location wise, this Marriott is about 20 minutes from town and the main (crowded) My Khe beach. Instead you have the beautiful Non Nuoc beach - although not private - more or less to yourself and fellow resort guests.
Lobby/check-in The architecture gives off 90s/00s vibes with its pitched roof and overhanging eaves. The lobby greets you with a view of the main infinity beach and the ocean beyond. Check in was quick and efficient as a result of our earlier arrival avoiding the daily turnover crush but also meant a longer wait until the official check in time.
Food/drinks Our 3 bedroom villa booking included one set meal a day. The food was fine but the menu did not rotate during our 5 day stay - so we were quite bored after a couple days and was glad we did not opt for the full board package. In contrast the breakfast spread was huge and even managed to have some rotation from day to day. Although breakfast was very crowded between 7 to 8am, the crowd lightened thereafter. One food highlight was the in villa BBQ dinner which was fresh and delicious - no doubt heightened by the drama of the live action BBQ at the pool area. Fairy lights were set up so that we could dine under the stars on the carpet grass lawn but late afternoon showers and the wish to avoid insects meant we dined indoors instead in the double volume dining area. The pool/beach side bar served finger food and drinks - perfect for beach lounging.
Villa The villa was much larger than imagined. The living area had a large TV that was dwarfed in the space. A comfortable L shaped sofa let you be snug and cozy. The dining table had room for 8 - it could have doubled up as a work desk but for the lack of power sockets. The wet and dry kitchen had an oven, microwave, filtered water dispenser, fridge, cups, saucers and kettle. But surprisingly cutlery was not provided. There was a desk in a study area with empty shelves with a single power socket. Two huge bedrooms and bathrooms were situated on the ground level with a third similarly huge bedroom and bathroom up the stairs. All bathrooms had double sinks and a bath top. The main bathroom had a rain shower (which unfortunately was not working so we didn't bother with it). There was also a powder room next to the living dining area. The beds were comfortable with clean sheets and the black out curtains did a great job. However there were no available power sockets - so the bedside lamps had to be disconnected to charge our devices. Otherwise we would have to charge them in the bathroom (might not hear the alarm and no easy access to doom scroll on phone while in bed) or along the bedroom corridor with the devices on the floor (no easy access). Wifi speed was good enough for video streaming, and corporate VPN was accessible. Wifi suffered from drop outs occasionally but this was not a major issue. Daily "turndown" service was simply placing snacks in the dining area. The bedding was not folded back nor water and slippers placed bedside. The private pool in the villa was the centrepiece and visible from the living dining and study areas. It was 1.15m at its deepest and perhaps 20m long. The pool tiles were in good condition and there was no cracks or sharp edges. It was flanked by a cabana was two day beds and a patio with two beach recliners off the main bedroom. There was also a table for 4 for outdoor dining. Beyond the pool was a grass lawn accessible to other villa guests with a view of the ocean.
Gym The gym had multiple Life Fitness machines including a smith machine. Squat wedge and ez curl barbell available as were dumbbells up to 20kg. Yoga mats, blocks, skipping rope, ab wheel and foam rollers too. Treadmill and cycle for cardio.
Spa Tried the scrub and massage. It was very relaxing and restful.
With a lovely beach and location, this was the ideal family holiday to mix culture, food, nature and a beach altogether. Comfortable, spacious rooms, attentive staff - we love the candy or treats at each turn-down, means you can relax and yet enjoy all the activities that Danang has to offer.
Check-in and checkout was smooth and really appreciate the team to get our room ready way ahead of time. We were on a super early flight and got into the hotel at 11am but we had our room by 11:30 -- and of course, it was wow - a top floor Seaview!
Multiple large pools meant that you'll always find a quiet section. Food wise, the breakfast was worth every penny. Best part if how long the hours were. This gave us time to enjoy the 530am sunrise at the beach or at Marble mountain and come back to a sumptuous breakfast.
When we come back (sooner or later) but this is where you'd find us.
The resort was in a great location between Da Nang City and Hoi An and super easy to get taxis between. We enjoyed breakfast in the hotel, which has lots and lots of choice, and also food and drinks at the pool bar on a few occasions - the pool has an amazing view over the ocean. Colleagues at the resort were very pleasant and helpful.
The four bedroom villa is enormous as is every area in it including bathrooms, dining area etc. There’s an outdoor shower area off from the master shower but we never used this. The villas need a wee bit of TLC in areas as age and weather is catching up with them. The gardens are meticulous and certain areas of grass feel like they are padded underfoot.
I would return but there are a few minor things I was slightly disappointed with, such as the consistent lack of pool towels in the villa, the very poor quality of the pool towels (big stains), and other amenities that weren’t replenished during the stay (like laundry bags and forms).
It was a solid experience given the price of $165 (total)/night for ocean view + breakfast. The food is pretty good depending on what you get, not too pricy either. But I wouldn't pay much more than what I did.
