Not informed of pool closure
Do NOT book this hotel if you want to use the pool and relax as it is currently closed. We were not informed about this at any point by either the hotel or hotels.com as we wouldn’t have chose to stay here & pay double the price of other much more modern hotels, so for 19 days without the use of the pool we had paid for in the pictures is a long time to try find other things to do all day in the blistering heat This is extremely disingenuous on by both parties as they are both still advertising the pool which is 4 times larger area than the one next door. This is false advertising & fails to provide the goods we have paid for ? When raising this argument they said we could use the pool at the four points which is attached but it has 7 loungers and a small pool to be shared between two large hotels so is always packed This has meant us spending extra money on beach beds elsewhere resulting in expensive drinks etc Staff at breakfast are really lovely so can’t fault them also the cleaners do a great job

Photos look nothing like the actual hotel. Hotel is very dated & the pool area is currently under construction for 1-2 months - so no pool, which is basically what we paid for as it was advertised with a large pool on Hotels.com.
At no point were we informed the photos on the website of the pool were not available.
After complaining to Hotel staff, they seem to think it’s ok to share a small pool (9 beds) with the 4 seasons hotel next door, which is completely full with guests, so in short we are unable use it as it’s completely jam packed out, everyday & the 9 beds are all together in a row.
The hotel is also very busy & there is not enough lifts (elevators) the staff all use them too as there are no service lifts, some construction workers use them, so expect to be waiting 5 minutes each time you need them & further more they don’t have AC, Not ok with 15 people in at once & stopping at every floor. Also most of the lobby areas / floors don’t have AC working while you’re waiting for your lift.
It’s Vietnam I know but the hotel is very dirty in my opinion, even the reception desk is held together with sellotape!
Breakfast is fair, there is a selection of buffet & omelettes ready made, staff very good in there
Our room (suite) is ok, quite spacious & the cleaners are very friendly & do a good job.
Overall very unhappy, we could have booked somewhere without a pool for half the price & instead find ourselves visiting beach clubs outside & spending a lot more as those are quite expensive.

A relaxing trip
The room is big, the hotel has a convenience store, and the beach is right across the street. The service is really good, especially Mr. Hanny—he helps with luggage, rents out motorbikes, helps you book places you want to go, or gives free recommendations. Having him around saves a lot of planning time and he can take you straight to the restaurants that locals love.

Amazing Family Stay at Altara Suites Da Nang
Our family had a wonderful stay at Altara Suites Da Nang. The suites were spacious, clean, and comfortable, making them perfect for our family vacation. The hotel is also in a great location and made our trip to Da Nang even more enjoyable.
We would especially like to recognize Mr. Harry (Hung Tran) for his excellent customer service. He was friendly, professional, and always willing to help whenever we had questions or needed assistance. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The front desk team was also very helpful and efficient throughout our stay. In addition, the housekeeping staff did an amazing job. They cleaned our room every day, kept everything tidy and fresh, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their hard work and attention to detail were truly appreciated.
Thank you to Mr. Harry (Hung Tran) and the entire team at Altara Suites Da Nang for making our family stay comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again on our next visit to Da Nang!
