The place looks very nice. We were 11 people, and we’re always looking in Phuket for restaurants with big tables. Unfortunately, we chose this restaurant because the setting was beautiful, but the drinks were disgusting — they even managed to ruin a Piña Colada. The dishes don’t look like real Thai food, and on top of that, the service is mediocre. They tell you straight to your face that ‘if you don’t want a drink, you have to pay’, as if we had to order some disgusting cocktail. We asked to speak to the manager, who was even worse and completely unprepared. They have no understanding of customer service. To end our horrible experience, some dishes arrived cold. Stay away — the drinks and service are the worst. Don’t let yourself be fooled by the ‘nice setting’.

Our favourite bar…
We didn’t stay at the hotel but we ate in the restaurant and the food was always lovely.. we sat at the bar at the front most nights being well looked after by the staff and a special mention to Nunee for taking great care of us and keeping us well stocked with banana rock buckets.. See you next year … Was wondering any chance of some cusions on the chairs? 😉

Rude staff
Originally prepared to go in for lunch but because I was eating ice cream on the way to the restaurant and my hands were all dirty, so after taking a seat, I asked the staff to let me wash my hands before ordering. When I entered the toilet, their male staff who did not understand English told me not to enter, l explained to him that I was a customer of the restaurant but because he did not understand English so he continued to scold me in rude attitude. He even went into female toilet to keep scolding me. He was too rude and did not apologise even atter he knew that he had wrongly accused me. I ended up not eating here and went to the restaurant next door to continue enjoy my lunch for more than 900THB for one person.

A lovely hotel in a great location. The room was cleaned daily. The staff were always smiling and caring. I'm very pleased and would gladly return.

We have stayed at Tropica Bungalows for 3 years in a row. The hotel and restaurant staff are all very nice, helpful and pleasant and have been there many years. The same is true for the owner. Never have I witnessed any trouble and certainly not over an accidental broken glass My only suggestion would be to update some of the recipes in the restaurant but I realize the menu is enormous. Can be noisy across from Bangla Road, a tourist mecca. Nice pool, across from the beach, reasonable prices and families seem to enjoy it as do the other guests.
