Thara Patong Hotel
· Extremely noisy. Guests with small children swimming and making way too much noise until 10 30 pm. Guests spitting in the pool. Breakfast was disorganised and chaotic. Only Asian food available for breakfast No cutlery available- had to ask several times for spoons, milk for coffee etc
· Check in was chaotic. Had to wait ages at reception after a long tiring flight.Was told our room would only be ready at 3:30 pm despite the fact that check in time advertised as 2 pm. Also had to pay a 2000 Baht deposit for security but there was no mini bar in the room so i do not understand why they required a deposit! They did eventually upgrade us to a " poolside room " after we complained about the room not being ready on time but due to other guests that were so noisy and ill mannered at the pool it was so unpleasant that we could not utilise our patio anyway!

A wonderful hotel with staff that go out of the way to make sure you know you are special. Very well situated with the most beautiful green spaces. A true gem in the bustle of Patong and great value for money.

Lovely hotel centrally located
Lovely hotel with very courteous staff, bedrooms well layed out and the food is excellent. Extended our stay as the location was perfect for the beach and local watering holes, definitely be back in the future.

Thara Patong Beach Resort & Spa i stayed here 15-25 nov book with Agoda best deal you will get,(Travel republic let us down and still took our money and it took days to get it back shame on you), i think this hotel is a nice place to stay (we enjoyed it) its situated close to the beach and bangla road the room we had was a nice size bed and close to the pool, the room had a fridge tea/coffee making with free water daily they supply you with pool towels the bathroom was a nice size with complimentry toiletries and a hair dryer,the air con worked good but a little noisy,the food at this hotel was very good with plenty of good deals,breakfast was good with plenty of choice but not an english one,as the majority of travellers at this hotel are chinese (80%) there are 2 pools one which was out of order our full stay so i think they will get bad feed back our room was by the other pool (lucky us) outside the hotel there are so many places to eat with in 25 yds and your spoilt for choice starting as low as 80 bahts large beer 100 bahts there are shops and chemist very close by this hotel is well situated,taxi to the air port just outside 700bahts this is an hotel i would use again and im sure the pool will be done by now although it should have been sorted before the season began there are places to change your money close by 38ish bahts to gbp a 70cl vodka 300 bahts last but not least beware of Trave republic advertising rooms that they have not got it took me hours of typing to get my money back i will never use them again and i think trip adviser should beware of them have a good trip (we did)those travelling with qatar in Doha 50gm golden virginia and amberleaf under £4 a packet cheaper than phuket also all the saff work hard and are very trustworthy thank you Thara resort i would stay here again

Wonderful service and lovely hotel
We spent a week at the hotel. We weren’t many guests and often had the entire pool area to ourselves. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. When we found out our flight was quite late in the afternoon they allowed us to check-out late. The pool area is really nice and clean - so is the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was good with a wide selection. Mostly warm dishes, but also freshly cooked eggs in a variety of ways, pancakes, fresh fruit and so on. They even offered to cook you bacon. Big nestle coffee machine with multiple choices. The hotel is perfectly central within walking distance of the beach, Bangla road, shopping Center ect. The best food was found just outside the door with a nice, clean and quiet range of street food. We really enjoyed our time at the hotel and would recommend it to friends and family.
