I've been here for 4 nights...nice location close to the heart of Patong...close to restaurants and nightlife and Patong beach is five minutes walking...nice big and clean room...superb breakfast with a variety of choices...nice big swimming pool...recommended

Fabulous resort and great location
Absolutely fantastic stay at this resort. It's even better then the photos portrayed.
It's a very short walk from the touristy area, fab restaurants, bars and shopping etc but far enough from the main road so that it is quiet and peaceful.
The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Everything was constantly being cleaned, swept and maintained.
They even gave us water pistols, protective cases and a free buffet lunch during the water festival.
The food and drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. Loved the massaman curry and frappes the most. The swim up bar was excellent and really good service. We did have the breakfast once, it was great but we wanted to try other restaurants in the area.
Really beautiful hotel and grounds, good security and would 100% recommend.

Better than I think
We are check-in in December for Christmas Holiday, and we have Christmas Eve Buffet that night. We enjoy the fire show and nice food. We feel good. Moreover the staff has done a lot to make us convenience, like take luggage for us, and try to make us not trouble when we are changing room. The swimming pool is not big, but deep. The main point is the pool side bar still have nice cocktail. For better, swimming pool should no smoking, and note that there are mosquito in the garden, we have to always close the window. Overall, it is good hotel.

Noise at the swimming pool
I have to say that it has gotten worse, I have been there for 11 years now in raw, but this might be the last time. The hotel and the surroundings are ok, but the pool is now like Bangla Road. The music starts at 11 and ends at 7, way too loud. I and others mentioned it to the staff and it quieted down for 30 minutes and then the same noise came back. I even wrote an email to the reception and they promised to deliver the message to the pool bar, but during my 4 week stay, the message did not reach the pool bar. If you want to spend some quiet time under the shade by the pool, forget this hotel, if you want to listen to Bangla noise all day, this is the right place for you. No guests go to R-Mar because of the music, but guests will not come back because of the music. Pretty simple business in my opinion.
Top notch hotel
2 of us stayed here for 5 nights end of feb/start march. It is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. It's in a great location with a 3 min walk to the beach with the main bars and restaurants within walking distance too. Nicely tucked behind the lively strip, it's quiet enough for relaxing but still close to the party when you want it.
The staff are very attentive and helped us with anything we needed. We were greeted by staff that took our bags and welcomed us with a nice drink and coconut jellies. The pool is nice and the swim up bar is a nice touch. We went to the spa and had a full body massage, that was great too, we left feeling refreshed. The breakfast buffet was varied and some items changed daily which was nice. Great options for different dietary needs. The room was perfect and the bathroom was huge.
Would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here the next time we come.
