Excellent stay and highly recommend
We had a fantastic first stay at the Marriott Merlin beach! All the staff were so friendly and helpful and my son and I had a great Muay Thai experience with a man named Ont! He was so friendly and I asked about buying Muay Thai gear and he even gave my son some pads and shorts! Thanks so much Ont!

A really great resort for a Phuket family holiday
A really great first time Phuket experience. We arrived from Singapore on an early flight and it was fantastic to find that the room was already available. That gave us a full day of exploring the resort. We had a pool access room which was spacious and spotlessly clean with immedaite access to a very large pool including private jacuzzis. There are three very large pools at this resort and there were always plenty of lounges to use. The kids pool was amazing with many pool activities including a foam party. The breakfast was really great with plenty of choice and very helpful staff. This is a very large resort and altho busy it never felt crowded - especially the pool areas ! The grounds at the beach are beautiful. The room sometimes took a while to be made up and did need some follow up but that maybe because thye were focussing on new arrivals - which is a good idea. The double beds are something to be aware of as they appear to be more like king singles than real doubles .... a bit too small to be called a true double. A shuttle takes you into Phuket about 10 mins away. The resort is about an hour from the airprt so arranging transport is probably a good idea. All in all a faulous resort with tonnes of activities and food options - a definitie place to consider if going to Phuket and will be even better when the new dining facilities are opened.
