Excellent staff at this family friendly hotel with character.
Am lucky to be at the family friendly hotel at the moment - a lovely place to stay. The staff make this place: they are so approachable and helpful.
I lack the words to describe the dal and naan I enjoyed today for lunch by the pool. Made with skill and love it is a dish I’ll never forget. Wonderful.
The breakfast buffet is exciting each morning, the gardens and pools are impressive, and the view from the roof is expansive.
The magical view I have from my room includes an ancient hill. It is easy to forget this hotel is in the heart of Patong with convenient access to the beach, varied restaurants, a cinema, and night life.
Horrible experience
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE — NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES
One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment of check-in, the experience was disappointing and frustrating.
The biggest issue was that we were given a room in a completely different building, and the room category was also different from what we had booked/expected. This was extremely inconvenient, especially when travelling with family.
The rooms are very basic and maintained at a very low standard. Cleanliness is a major concern, with unhygienic and poorly maintained toilets. There was also a strong, stinking damp smell inside the room, making it extremely uncomfortable to stay.
The air conditioner had issues, adding to the discomfort. Service was extremely poor, and getting even basic assistance was a struggle.
The food quality was also very disappointing and below acceptable hotel standards.
Overall, this property falls seriously short in terms of service, cleanliness, maintenance, room quality and basic hospitality.
🚫 NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES
I would strongly recommend families avoid this hotel. The room allocation, separate building arrangement, poor cleanliness, unpleasant smell, poor service and overall low standard made our stay extremely uncomfortable.
Very poor value for money. Definitely not the kind of experience you expect after paying for a proper hotel stay.

Excellent Hotel
Brilliant hotel. Professional, friendly and happy staff. Best hotel I have stayed in for proximity to beach, restaurants, attractions and night life. Highly recommend this hotel. I have stayed there over 25 times and never disappointed

Great hotel. Centrally located
This hotel is very centrally situated as reported previously. It’s quite extensive in size but my only problem was it was very poorly lit at night. I do have mobility problems & had to watch my step & most days my room wasn’t serviced until late afternoon but other than that I couldn’t fault the hotel & location. There are 3 exits one a 2 or 3 minutes walk to the beach with lots of good & fairly cheap restaurants. The 2nd exit led to Bangla Road in the small Soi to Bangla Road had a lot of bars & restaurants & a few massage parlours. One restaurant in particular who’s name I can’t remember was a Thai restaurant that I visited at least a half a dozen times in the 12 nights I was in Patong, the food was excellent as were the staff, as I can’t remember the name it’s on the left about a 2 minute down from the hotel exit . Bangla Road is not for the faint hearted, you get approached & man handled by many ladies trying to get into their establishments. The 3rd exit is very near to 7/11 at the end of the Soi on the right. If you turn left you have two shopping malls & a few small stores that sell the fakes & Holiday souvenirs, if you want a centrally located hotel I would highly recommend it.

Amazing Experience - Forever Remembered!
A Heartfelt Thank You to the Wonderful Staff at Patong Resort Hotel
My husband and I stayed at Patong Resort Hotel for 10 weeks during July, August and September 2026. What began as a wonderful holiday became a very challenging experience when I fell and fractured my ankle at the resort.
Throughout this difficult time, the kindness, care and support shown by the staff were absolutely incredible. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did to help me.
All the bellboys were wonderful, always ready to assist me whenever I needed help while confined to a wheelchair. Lucky, Tu, May, June and the other reception staff were consistently kind, patient and willing to help with anything I needed.
The breakfast staff, particularly Mut and Fern, along with many others and the managers, went out of their way to bring food to me and help me with my wheelchair. Pat, Ying, the cooks and the rest of the team at the Level 8 restaurant were equally wonderful and always ready to lend a hand.
The staff around the pool, especially Dang, were there to help me when I fell and fractured my ankle. The security staff and bell boys also regularly assisted me into taxis when I needed to travel to the hospital. These thoughtful acts of kindness made an incredibly difficult situation so much easier to manage.
I would also like to give special thanks to Khin and Kit Kit from housekeeping. They made sure I had everything I needed in our room and did everything possible to make me comfortable during my recovery. Their care and thoughtfulness meant so much to me.
Every member of staff, from reception and housekeeping to the restaurants, pool area and security team, showed such genuine kindness and compassion. I felt supported by so many wonderful people, and their care made a lasting impression on both my husband and I.
It is impossible to name everyone individually, but please know that every act of kindness was appreciated and will never be forgotten.
I miss you all very much and will always be grateful for the way you looked after me. We look forward to returning to Patong Resort Hotel next year and seeing you all again!
