am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable state of room service and the rigid attitude of your front desk staff during my stay from 21 st may to 24th may 2025
when I returned to my room on 22nd may 2025 from our james bond island visit at 5:00 PM to find that it had not been cleaned. When I inquired with the front desk, I was informed that my room was not serviced because the door signage was set to "Do Not Disturb."
I would like to bring a major design flaw to your attention: your hotel signage relies on loose, freely hanging tags that display "Make My Room" on one side and "Do Not Disturb" on the other. Because these hangings are unstable, they can easily flip, drop, or be intentionally or accidentally tampered with by children or anyone walking down the lobby corridor. That is precisely what happened in my case.
Despite explaining that this was an accidental disruption due to the faulty design of your signage, the response from your team was incredibly disappointing:
Refusal to Help: Despite my repeated and urgent requests, the desk officer flatly refused to arrange for room cleaning, citing that housekeeping staff was no longer available. Lack of Accountability: The staff showed a complete lack of empathy, refusing to acknowledge that a guest shouldn't suffer because of an easily compromised, flawed signage system. As a paying guest, returning to an uncleaned room at 5:00 PM after a long day—and being denied basic hospitality services—caused me immense discomfort and frustration. It is entirely unfair that I had to suffer due to a combination of insecure room tags and a complete lack of evening housekeeping support.
I expect a higher standard of service and a more flexible, solution-oriented approach from a hotel of your reputation. I request you to look into this matter immediately, , and take necessary measures to upgrade your door signage to a more secure system so other guests do not face this hassle.
I look into hearing your response and learning how you intend to address this inconvenience.

Hotel is a bit dated but comfortable pool was great with swim up bar and staff very friendly great buffett breakfast as well bed was king size and comfortable

The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious.
Buffet breakfast caters for Asian and international guests.
The front office staff are very attentive to requests and deliver as promised.
Miss Kun has been extremely helpful. We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and had a wedding party of 30 pax. She make sure all were allocated rooms on the same floor, families had interconnected rooms and cots as requested.
The pool is big and very relaxing. Walk in pool access for rooms on the ground floor.
If you are looking for a comfortable, convenient location in Patong, then this is the place!

Very poor experience, especially for a family stay.
This hotel turned what should have been a once-in-a-lifetime family celebration into an uncomfortable and distressing experience.
We stayed for seven nights as a group of 11 family members, ages 20 to 82, celebrating my mother’s 80th birthday. We booked five rooms expecting warmth and professionalism. Instead, we were met with repeated rudeness, scrutiny, and what felt like clear racial profiling.
From Day 1, a front desk staff member, Daraka Y, was dismissive and unpleasant, and this behaviour continued throughout our stay. Requests were handled inconsistently. A paid late check-out for elderly parents was denied one day, then approved the next by a different staff member, showing selective treatment rather than policy. Requests for an extra bed and a room upgrade we were willing to pay for were mishandled or ignored despite written proof.
Housekeeping on Floor 2 repeatedly demanded we count spoons, mugs, glasses, cups, and saucers for six days, as if we were likely to steal hotel property, despite the hotel knowing we were one family occupying five rooms and spending time together.
At the pool and restaurant, staff brought us bills after every drink order, while nearby Caucasian guests openly consumed outside food and drinks under “no outside food” signage, were given hotel crockery, and were not questioned. The contrast was blatant and humiliating.
Multiple rooms had non-functional AC and unreliable Wi-Fi, and complaints were met with dismissive responses.
We raised these concerns and requested a meeting with the manager. We were told he was at lunch. We returned after an hour and a half, only to be told he was now in a meeting. No one followed up.
This experience reflects serious failures in hospitality, accountability, and cultural sensitivity. We left feeling unwelcome and profiled, and would not recommend this hotel to families or guests of colour.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing stay at the Patong Paragon Hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The pool area is beautiful and perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The location is ideal—just a short walk to Patong Beach while still being quiet enough to unwind. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the service throughout my stay was excellent. Highly recommended!
