A Perfect Anniversary Getaway with Spectacular Ocean Views – Patong Bay Hill Resort ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My wife and I stayed at Patong Bay Hill Resort, Phuket for a week in February 2026 to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable vacations we've had.
From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen the right place. Nestled on a hillside overlooking the Andaman Sea, the resort offers breathtaking panoramic views that instantly make you feel relaxed. We were fortunate to be allotted a top-floor room, and waking up every morning to uninterrupted views of the ocean was an experience we'll never forget.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the private open-air Jacuzzi overlooking the sea. Whether it was enjoying a quiet evening together after a day of exploring Phuket or simply soaking in the beautiful surroundings, it made our anniversary celebrations even more special. The room was spacious, comfortable, impeccably maintained, and perfectly positioned to make the most of the stunning views.
Since the resort is built on a hillside, reaching the rooms involves a steep climb. However, the hotel has an excellent internal shuttle service, and the staff were always prompt, courteous, and happy to drive us to and from our room whenever required. Their responsiveness and warm attitude ensured that the unique location was an added charm rather than an inconvenience.
Another major advantage is the location. The resort is conveniently situated close to the jetty area, making it easy to head out for island tours and other excursions. It is also well connected to other parts of Patong through readily available public transport, making sightseeing very convenient.
Throughout our stay, we felt completely safe and well looked after. Every member of the hotel staff we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help, making us feel welcomed from start to finish.
If there is one area where the resort could improve, it would be the dining experience. While the breakfast was good, a wider variety of options would be appreciated, especially for guests staying for several days. Extending the dinner timings would also be helpful for guests returning late from sightseeing or island-hopping tours.
Overall, our week-long anniversary stay was everything we had hoped for. The spectacular ocean-view room, the private open-air Jacuzzi, the peaceful hillside setting, the dependable shuttle service, and the warm hospitality combined to create memories that we will always cherish.
Thank you to the entire team at Patong Bay Hill Resort for making our anniversary celebration so special. We would gladly recommend this resort to couples looking for a romantic getaway with stunning views and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Horrible experience
We stayed at this hotel from 1st July to 3rd July after flying from Bangkok to Phuket. We chose this property because of its beautiful pool and ocean views, which looked very appealing when booking.
Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. This hotel is not suitable for elderly guests or families with young children. The property is located on a steep hillside, and guests rely heavily on the buggy service for transportation. The buggies are completely open and did not feel very safe, especially when traveling with a child. In addition, the buggy service was frequently delayed, and we often had to wait 15–20 minutes. On one occasion, we had no choice but to walk uphill ourselves barefoot, which was extremely inconvenient.
We also found the front office staff to be unfriendly and unhelpful. Their attitude did not reflect the level of hospitality we expected from a resort property.
The breakfast was another major disappointment. While the food selection was limited, what surprised us most was that cappuccino and café latte were not included and were charged separately. We have traveled to many countries and hotels and have never encountered a breakfast service where only basic American coffee was included while common coffee options such as cappuccino and café latte were chargeable. When we inquired about this, the staff responded in a rude manner, which made the experience even more unpleasant.
Although the views are beautiful, the poor service, inconvenient transportation within the resort, and disappointing breakfast experience mean that we would not recommend this hotel to other travelers.
