This charming establishment is located close to the famous Bangla street, in the renowned Patong beach area. It is also just a few paces from Junceylon Shopping Mall, the Bangla boxing stadium and just 45 minutes away from Phuket international airport. Designed with guests’ needs in mind, this property offers an excellent quality accommodation at great value. All the rooms are equipped with HD LED TV, complimentary high-speed internet connection and other amenities that will guarantee guests enjoy a comfortable stay. The accommodation options range from Superior to Deluxe, both offering twin or King size beds. Rooms with balcony are also available. Unlike Superior units, Deluxe rooms are closer to the stunning rooftop facilities which include a swimming pool, bar and solarium, ideal to sunbath while sipping a refreshing drink.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Clean, comfortable and a good location with a great price this hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooftop pool is a nice surprise and breakfast is adequate, it’s walking distance from BigC, Jungcelon, and Bangla Rod although the rooms are small the aircon fridge and bathroom are all above standard.
This hotel was very busy and these two stepped up and made it an incredible experience. I would have stayed here simply due to them at reception. I would recommend staying here for the service and location.
Thank you again Tik and Tong q
The location is perfect, one block to the centre and accesible to all. The breakfast is poor in relation with price. We arrived at midnight with my family (husband and 2 kids 7 and 12 years old) and our room was not available. They offered a single bed for 4 people for that night!!! The day after we were moved to another room with and additional bed.
This hotel is one of the worst I have ever been in. The place is just not clean whatsoever. We arrived and at first everything was okay. Check in process was fine. Once we got to the elevator we got a little nervous. Picture kinda speaks for itself. Opening our room door and were hit again with a blast of damp, wet musty smell which is not good obviously. We then had a little look around the room where you can see mould just about everywhere. Just above the bed where you will be sleeping!! there is a lovely coating of mould (and little bugs) running along the headboard which is easily wiped off if anyone actually was bothered to clean the room. The aircon is just blowing out air that stinks and also is surrounded by mould. We thought we would put our free bottles of water that came with the room in the fridge for later and found a nice little puddle of water at the bottom. Great. While brushing your teeth you can enjoy the views of some mould and a dirty mirror. After observing all of this and more thats not mentioned we decided to just get out and get a coffee to talk about our next move. Deciding to just get out of there was the best option we could think of. We went to reception and explained what we had found and asked for a refund. I showed the receptionist the video of the mouldy headboard and she contacted the manager. As i waited i sat down at reception. The absolute state of the reception furniture. Come on. We were offered a new room and if we thought it was fit for purpose we could change and if not he would refund us which was fair. The new room was better but still not clean. Quick look at the new rooms bathroom and there was a half used toilet roll from the last guest presumably, rolled out on the towel hanger. Great. The bedside locker which is head level when laying in the bed had crumbs and a spilled drink stain running down the side of it. The receptionist who showed me this new room seen this and was also concerned. We decided the refund was the best option. Back at reception we were offered help finding a new hotel in the area which we declined and explained we would do it ourselves and asked would it be okay if we could leave our stuff in the room while we went off looking for a new place to stay. They said yes but only for a half hour haha. Its 6 o clock in the evening at this point and we are given a half hour to find a new place and to have our stuff removed from the room. After some back and forth we were given an hour. How kind. The hotel is cheap which shouldn’t give you a high expectation which we didnt have but you would expect your room to be relatively clean at the very least.
The mirage express is well located for most of your shopping needs. With Joung Ceylon shopping mall over the road, Banzaa fresh food market next door which has an eating market outside at night. And Bangla Muay Thai boxing stadium opposite. 10 minutes walk to Patong beach longer if you stop to shop. The hotel it's self is now a little dated and although I booked a room with no balcony to my surprise I had one. The room again dated and in need of redecoration , my net curtain was dirty and needed changing. However it was clean and enough for my stay... let's face it you only sleep in your room, the air con was good and kept me comfortable at night. The shower room was big with hot and cold water that you can regulate to suit you. The breakfast was adequate with a range of dishes and bread for toasting if you want and ceareal and fruit, with coffee, tea, juices and milk. In the evening it could get a little noisy with reverlers returning from their night out talking loud and slamming their room doors, the rooms also have single glazing so Bangla boxing stadium on boxing nights was loud along with the street nois at night.I have rated this hotel with a four because the staff made my stay pleasant, they were friendly and helpful and the girl that cleaned my room everyday was very nice and tended to my needs. I find it unfair to give a bad reviews (unless your experience was that dreadfull) because these people work hard long hours for very little pay, and mostly down to the owners of hotels that should be more responsible for their property's, but you get what you pay for, don't pay lemonade money and expect a champagne life style. Anyway as always Thailand is one of the most wonderful places on the planet, great food, friendly helpfull people, great scenary and things to see and do. Try to avoid the touristy bits as they are always busy and more expencive... but hey its your holiday do as you please. But bear in mind most Asian people work hard and earn very little... if you want respect from them pay them back with respect and be nice. Altogether a very pleasant stay.
