Once great, now average!
I have been coming to Deevana for years. This was the most disappointing trip. The hotel has been almost cut in half! The owners have sold the back of the hotel for new construction . Consequently the garden pool, which was the best, and the surrounding area including the garden rooms are now a building site! I worry for the hotel itself as the rooms are quite dated and although the owners are obviously now 'cash rich' there doesn't seem to be any investment coming. The staff are friendly and helpful but short in numbers with receptionists acting as bell boy as well. Breakfast was basic buffet and more emphasis on Asian tastes. Sad to see this once great hotel in decline!
Nice place to stay
This hotel was a good location, kinda a block or 2 back from the beach. Within walking distance of lots of places to eat & drink. Taxis & tut tuks were always available nearby. Bangla road just a straight 20 minute walk. Room was spacious, pool area nice. Breakfast was adequate with plenty of food available.

great hotel
A little piece of peace and quiet in a hell of Patong. Good location close to the main road, but far enough so there is no noise. Great rooms, very clean. Fabulous breakfast!! We loved it, thou we did not like Patong at all!

We loved our stay here
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean and very comfortable, and the service throughout our visit was excellent. The staff were always polite, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The swimming pool is big, inviting, and very clean, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available. The breakfast was also very good, with a wide variety of fresh food and coffee machines. Great location- walking distance to the beach, 7/11, restaurants, shopping mall and massage. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back again!

Insensitive handling of a genuine medical emergency
Extremely disappointing and insensitive handling of a genuine family emergency.
We had a confirmed booking at this hotel, but due to a real medical emergency in our family, we raised a rescheduling request before the original check-in date and also provided supporting documents. Instead of receiving a clear and honest response, the process became confusing and stressful.
Initially, we were given the impression that a rebooking might be possible up to 20 May, which suggested that the hotel was willing to consider a one-time exception despite the booking being non-refundable. Based on this, we shared a flexible date range within that period. However, after keeping us in uncertainty, the booking was later marked as a no-show and we were ultimately informed that there would be no refund and no reschedule, and that we would need to make a completely new booking.
We understand that non-refundable policies exist, but what made this experience especially frustrating was the contradictory communication and lack of sensitivity. If the request was not going to be accepted, that should have been stated clearly from the beginning instead of giving mixed signals and creating unnecessary stress during an already difficult family situation.
Would not recommend this property based on how this case was handled.
