Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket

We have had a fabulous time at this hotel and Abu was such a great deal of help with making wonderful food and being extremely attentive with his service.

We stayed at Andaman Phuket for 5 days and 4 nights, and honestly, it was a very disappointing experience. For a hotel rated 4 stars, I expected a much higher standard of room maintenance, cleanliness, facilities, and overall service. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below my expectations.

Several issues with the room made our stay uncomfortable. The balcony light was not working, and the air-conditioning fan was excessively noisy. Both issues were only rectified the next day after we made complaints. The most frustrating issue was the water heater, which was not working properly. We were told to let the water run for two minutes, but the problem remained unresolved. Even after providing feedback, nothing further was done. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel of this rating.

The cleanliness of the bathroom was another major concern, as there were numerous drain flies in the toilet. This was unpleasant and certainly not what I expected from a 4-star hotel.

As for breakfast, I was genuinely happy to find that all the food served was 100% halal. However, the food selection was extremely limited. Chicken was served every day, with no fish, beef, or seafood alternatives. For guests staying 5 days and 4 nights, the lack of variety became disappointing. Having halal food is appreciated, but there should still be sufficient variety to cater to guests staying for several nights.

I would like to give special recognition to Ms Abby and Mr Gym, who were the only staff members who consistently greeted us with smiles and made us feel welcomed. They showed genuine warmth and went the extra mile for us. Their friendliness was one of the very few highlights of our stay, and they deserve to be acknowledged for their efforts.

Overall, I left feeling very disappointed. A 4-star hotel should not only look good on paper but should also deliver the basic standards of cleanliness, properly functioning facilities, responsive maintenance, and a decent breakfast selection. Having to complain about multiple room issues, with one major problem left unresolved, is not the experience any paying guest should have.

The service provided by Ms Abby and Mr Gym deserves appreciation, but the hotel's overall standards need serious improvement. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these shortcomings. Based on my experience, the hotel did not meet the standard I expected from a 4-star property, and I would think twice before staying here again.

We had a truly fantastic stay at the Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket. The property is beautifully situated near Patong Beach, but what truly elevated our holiday was the food and hospitality—specifically from the amazing Chef Abu! His custom Indian cuisine was absolutely packed with flavor, and his freshly made Indian chai was great. Chef Abu's genuine warmth and attentiveness stood out every day. He took such personal care of us and prepared fresh paratha for my little one.
