Take a dip in one of the 6 swimming pools, 4 children's pools, 3 Jacuzzis or 2 water springs! Some of the pools are in a peaceful setting for those who want to float about and take in the views, whereas some are more suited for families to have a splash about in.
Why not relax in the hotels spa which offers a divine menu of massages, facials, body and beauty treatments. The perfect way to wind down after a long day. On-site shopping opportunities include a boutique shop, jewellery shop, gift shop and mini mart - you could stay around the hotel all day everyday, with no reason to leave! But if you are looking to venture out of the resort, there is a tour desk available to help arrange a choice of activities, sightseeing excursions and island-hopping tours.
The dining options are endless here - with 6 restaurants and bars to chose from, including; Thai and western delights, beachfront seafood, authentic Italian dishes, fresh baked pizza and delicious lunch time snacks with views of the ocean.

Rooms are spacious and modern with a twist of traditional Thai décor. Good Resort for Families - Lacking Thai Hospitality
Great hotel for the kids - lots of amenity including waterslides and an amazing kids club. Staff are also friendly and good with the kids.
The ability to utilise the wider resort facilities is also a big plus with the main katathani building having restaurants, gym, business center, pools and the beach.
The surrounding area has enough restaurants, shops, pharmacies and massage places to keep the family happy and well stocked up.
Unfortunately, the traditional Thai hospitality isn’t very evident at the Vhari wing. The check-in process was chaos with no process or order. It just seemed to be that the person who was lurking about the check-in desks was next to be served! After a long flight, we sat in the check-in area for 30 mins before even being acknowledged which was disappointing.
Breakfast was also a bit of a free for all with waits up to 15 mins during busy periods and breakfast tables barely wiped down for the next family. To be fair, it looks like the hotel is extending the enclosed areas so there should be less waiting around in the near future.
Overall I’d recommend this hotel for young families - just don’t expect any traditional Thai hospitality associated with other 5 star resorts in Phuket - and have plenty of patience!
Top tip: pay extra for pool access.

Little Piece of Paradise – Katathani Phuket Beach Resort! This is my third visit to Katathani, and every time I am amazed by the exceptional service, wonderful people and beautiful atmosphere. The stunning beach and outstanding hospitality make this resort a true paradise! A very special thank you to Kath, Chat, Rose and Pingpong from Concierge Services — you are the absolute stars of customer service! Your kindness, professionalism and genuine care make every guest feel truly special. We will definitely be back and will always wholeheartedly recommend Katathani to our friends and family.
Fun place for young families
Great place to visit with young kids, a lot of different pools and areas. Nice food with good choice. Very aware of allergy requirements too.
