Very nice!
Very good review with beautiful pools. Pool water was cold but not that you can’t swim. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Rooms were very nice with big beds and a pretty view. If is a very steep hill to get to the hotel but worth it. If you want a scooter book one when you get there. They are very popular.
Great Hotel, Great Location
Sugar Palm Grand Hillside was a lovely hotel. Fantastic size rooms with balcony with great views.
We stayed at the very top, which meant we had some spectacular views of the city, the sea, the mountains and the big Buddha. The only downside to this was that it was a bit of a hike to get there. There are 2 lifts available but these only took you so far before having to climb up several more steps / ramps. They do have golf carts available to take you up and down should you wish.
The rooms were attended to daily with fresh towels given but more detail could have been given with other toiletries being replenished more often and more care given on wiping things down.
The staff were very pleasant, always polite and service with a smile.
The hotel is up a steep road and can be quite challenging to get to but there are also steps which lead to the lobby which we found a lot easier. The swimming pools were a very welcome facility especially during and after a long day in the heat, great way to cool down.
Breakfast was included, a good selection of cooked foods, fruits, pastries and cereals.
7th Heaven Sky Bar is a lovely little gem, with exceptional views across kata. This place didn’t seem to get loads people visiting, but in my opinion definitely worth having a cocktail or 2.
Great location, only 200m from the beach, and a stones throw away from the shops, restaurants and markets. Definitely plenty to see on your doorstep.
Overall happy with our stay here and would recommend providing you don’t have any mobility problems.
Average hotel
Booked a room with direct access to pool. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was very poor in my opinion not what we were expecting from a holiday hotel. Hotel is on hill not an issue for us but could be for some. Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel just wasn't ideal for our holiday intentions.
Fantastic
Booked a pool access room. Clean. Quiet. Bed was nicely set up. Helpful staff. Express check-out. Nice 'pools'. Around 8 swimming pools, set up in tiers. 1 pool serve few rooms only. There were only 3 rooms can direct access to 'my pool' . Very unique & relaxing, had floating breakfast without disturbing other guests. Walking distance to Kata Beach.

Great Hotel & Perfect Spa Experience!
Loved my stay at that this hotel, it was very clean and well maintained, ideal location, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and just 8 minutes walk to the beach. The hotel's spa service was excellent. Sarah, my therapist was very skillful and released all my tension. I also enjoyed their facial and body scrub treatment, which left my skin glowing and refreshed. The entire experience was so relaxing and truly memorable. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit. Highly recommend both the stay and the spa service.
