Ramada Phuket Southsea

I recently stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Phuket Southsea and, unfortunately, I have to say I was quite disappointed. While the staff were polite, the hotel fell short in several key areas, especially considering the $120 per night price tag. Firstly, the breakfast was extremely meager. The chef refused to cook fresh pancakes, stating they had already been prepared in the morning. This is unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be of a certain standard. The 'pool view' room was misleading. It actually overlooked the pool of a neighboring hotel, not the hotel's own pool. Speaking of which, the hotel's pool was quite small. While the location is indeed facing Karon Beach, this proximity doesn't justify the price. For $120, I expected much more. Another inconvenience was the lack of an on-site travel desk. Most 4-star (and above) hotels in Phuket offer this service.

We arrived at this hotel on 8/9/25 our first impressions weren’t very good as the pool area looked drab & needed updating. Bear in mind we’d just travelled nearly 24 hrs to get here 🤯 the rooms in this hotel are really nice, cleaners come in daily, change towels, bedding ect… the staff are so friendly & go out of their way to help you out! The lady who’s the manager of reception was extremely helpful with us booking a local spa, her English was very good too! We booked an easy access to the pool room & yes it’s very handy to nip in & out of the pool without having to keep walking all the way round to get back in your room! With us coming early September it was VERY quiet we always had the pool to ourselves (group of 8 of us) the flooring around the pool area is wooden planks which needs updating ASAP… with it being so hot & humid the planks have warped & some are rotting, while we were there 3 members of my family went through the flooring & they had to put a wet floor sign over them so nobody hurts themselves! I would say the only thing that lets this hotel down MASSIVELY is breakfast! You’ve got a choice of cold fried eggs , cold scrambled eggs, chicken fried rice croissants (not fresh , possibly defrosted from frozen) fresh melon or toast! Most mornings we just had toast! While we was there it was our wedding anniversary & my husbands 50th so i emailed them before we went asking if they could do something special in our room & they didn’t disappoint! All in all a lovely stay just needs an update to the flooring & breakfast needs a revamp!
