Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort

First of all, the resort has so many activities for a family that you can’t get bored! Golf, Mini Golf, tennis, pickle ball, basketball ball, archery…you name it they hit it! And all of these are free and included in your stay. The kids club hosts different activities , some of which like pizza making are paid. Also there is a 247 fitness center available and a 247 medical centre. There are three pools with one being 7 m deep only meant for good swimmers. The temperature of the water is comfortable irrespective what time you hop in. There are multiple shops, salon for hair braiding and other services available but they charge a little more as compared to the outside market rate. The resort is huge…! Now there are three restaurants for breakfast buffet, one is for premium members while the other two are for everyone. The menu is same in both of them with the only difference that one is air conditioned while the other is ventilated with fans facing the pool. Rest you can find other restaurants to dine it but they are extremely priced! We went for lunch into the whole day dining restaurant and they were charging a 100 baht for the water bottle we were getting in our rooms! At least the water should be served complementary to the guests! The private beach area is very neat and clean. One can spend the entire day relaxing and sunbathing there. The resort offers canoeing and kayaking but it was suspended during our time because of the high ocean tides. You can go for jet ski here on the resort beach itself but the guy is again charging a premium as compared to the local ones at paring beach area. But the main drawback of this area is that it is isolated from the buzz of phuket, the resort doesn’t offer any shuttle to Karon or Patong market area and you need to book a taxi for one way for around 300 baht which actually falls heavy on your pocket. So II is advisable to book a half board here in case your purpose is to relax and spend maximum time in the resort. There is a mini mart just outside the main gate of the resort but it is meant only for drinks and chips. I wouldn’t recommend eating at the food joint just outside the main gate due to quality issues. The rooms are also comfortable but the house keeping staff needs to clean them properly. I had found multiple spider webs on the corners of the cupboard and dust on the surface of tables daily, even they had forgotten to wash our plates and cutlery after cleaning and when we had to keep them outside our room to be taken away, they weren’t refilled the next days of our stay. Even the mirror and tap in the bathroom were t cleaned properly after room service. So a little bit of quality control in terms of house keeping is required! And my one more suggesting would be to host some beach side party to make the place a little happening and lively in the night! Rest it was a great experience with the kids and we enjoyed it a lot!

The private beach is stunning and a real highlight, giving you that secluded, paradise feel that makes this place so special. The pools are gorgeous and perfect for relaxing, and the food was incredible across the board, every meal was a treat.
