- Baumancasa Beach Resort

This resort is a heavenly place to stay in Karon, located across a lush landscaped area in the heart of Karon, giving a perfect accessible at one-minute walk to the beautiful Karon Beach where guests can take a walk, sunbathe, swim, relax or enjoy the blue sky. Phuket Airport lies 45 km fom the property. The competitively priced holiday hotel presents accommodations with an Asian contemporary design; all in-room facilities are clean and modern. The property includes three rooftop swimming pools providing amazing sunset scenes, gymnasium, snooker table, sauna and massage room. Guests can also refresh themselves in the hotel bar and restaurant too.
Photos on Agoda looked great but as usual the place wasn't quite up to the standard as advertised. The room was clean but smelled bad, I had to get an air freshener spray at 7/11. The AC in the room was weak and very loud. The mattress is hard as a rock and you only get one pillow. I would not call this hotel an upscale resort. Its a very basic hotel that needs an update. Its 2023 and its time to switch to key cards vs having keys with big key chain to carry around. Had to walk a mile to get to beach because the room is so far back in building 5. Breakfast wasn't great I stayed for 3 nights and only went to breakfast once, I rather eat elsewhere. I would not stay at this hotel again.
Stayed for 11 nights in iron beach with my wife and a baby . Great location right on the beach, but unfortunately the hotel was a Big disappointment With power shortage when the generators work ,there is not enough power for the ac in the rooms , and it is extremely hot in the rooms . Few times there was no electricity and no generator for hrs , and we are just sweating in the room In different hrs …. Yesterday from 10 ֶam to 5 pm there was a note of no power in the hotel , we went out and tried to stay out , But at the evening from 8-12 pm the generator is on , and no a/c that’s too much for adults , and for the baby it’s hell .that was the worst night ever ! Step up from 3 stars hotel …and get more power for air conditioning. The elevator worked half the time and the rest was in repair . With 200 rooms you would expect more that one by chair in the dining room for breakfast right ? Wrong The night shift person can’t speak English just Google translator . Can’t recommend to to stay , but again the worst was that when a problem arise they say , come tomorrow and tell the manager ……
Big Hotel, right on the beach (building 1) of up to 100 m from the beach building 5. Has 2 rooftop pools which are great. Good basic breakfast. Room was a good, clean standard hotel room. Shower was good, and the internet worked well. King size bed, which was a bit hard for me. plenty of pillows and towels. Good restaurants and mini-mart onsite / nearby. Karon beach quieter than Patong beach, (15 mins in a car away) so a very nice spot. No complaints except hard bed, which I fixed by getting an extra bed quilt, and sleeping on 2 bed quilts above the mattress. Phuket gets very hot during the day, so bring a good hat.
Stayed there last week for a week. Location is nice just across the beach however few issues:
I recently stayed at this hotel, and I can confidently say it was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had. My wife had an accident on a ramp that was not even ADA compliant, which should have been a red flag from the start. The lack of attention to safety standards is alarming and unacceptable for any establishment.
When I rushed to the reception for help, I found it completely empty for a staggering 30 minutes. This delay was infuriating, especially given the circumstances. When I finally managed to get someone's attention to call for an ambulance, I was met with a language barrier – the staff did not even speak English! This made an already stressful situation even more difficult.
After an agonizing 45 minutes, the ambulance finally arrived. However, to my utter disbelief, they refused to treat my wife due to insurance issues. This is something you would never expect from a hotel that claims to cater to international guests. To make matters worse, the hotel staff offered no assistance or support during this crisis. It felt as if they completely abandoned us in our time of need.
I cannot stress enough how poorly managed this hotel is. The lack of proper safety measures, the unresponsive staff, and the overall disregard for guests' well-being are unacceptable. My strong recommendation is to avoid this hotel at all costs. If you are considering traveling to Thailand, please choose a hotel that genuinely cares about its guests and adheres to safety standards. This place is not it!
