A place where life is calmer, where every day is a break from everyday life and where time for once is on your side. Children probably think that this is totally boring place. Adults travelling without children describe this as simply wonderful. ADULTS ONLY POLICY: The guest must be 15 years old or above.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Sunprime was an absolutely amazing resort to stay at. The location was alongside the beautiful Kamala beach, allowing stunning ocean views every day. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The pools were very relaxing with quick and easy service from the pool bars. The massages available were calming and relaxing, and the staff did an amazing job with braiding my daughter’s hair. The menu selection at the restaurant and the buffet breakfast was great value for money. The food and drinks were delicious and very filling. Lastly, every single staff member including receptionists, waiters and bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed striking up conversations with the restaurant staff every night as we ate dinner by the water. Shoutout to Son and Dennis as our most regular waiters for their fabulous service, friendly interactions and teaching us Thai words. Overall, we would recommend this resort to anyone and would most certainly stay here again when we returned to Phuket.
The highlight of this hotel was the pools. There were 4 (I think!) and they were all massive, really clean, and had tonnes of deck chairs and pool towels. We went in June, low season apparently, so often there was noone else in the pools, crazy!
There was a nice breakfast buffet which was included. Not gourmet type food (if that's your thing!) but lots of choice.
Location is right on the beach. The beach in my opinion is average. We only swam in the pools cos they were amazing!
The gym was awesome! All the equipment you need, lots of space and really clean.
There were some free fitness classes but sadly we missed them as we were out exploring!
The rooms were normal style hotel rooms, nothing super exciting but got everything you need.
We had a wonderful week at the Sunprime. Great staff, great location and excellent amenities. What was a Highlight for us was the evening entertainment. The Bayside Trio were fantastic . Excellent voices and so engaging. Nothing better to finish the evening off listening to great music under the stars beachside.
Had a wonderful stay. Two Aussies in there 70s. Grand Delux Pool View. Exceptional smiling helpful staff. Absolute credit to management. Comfortable Beds. Large Room with an also comfortabe lounge. Walk in shower. Spotlessly Clean. Great white linen and towels. All condiments. Tea Coffee large cups. Lifts. Plenty of deck chairs. 4 Pools. Breakfast buffet with anything you could possibly want. Also very good coffee and other meals at realistic prices. Most nights music overlooking sunset. Swim up bars. No holding deckchairs. Though we love kids they were not allowed here so its lovely and peaceful. Other restaurants just along beachfront walkway. Really couldnt find a falt at all.
A Pleasant Stay with Excellent Service We had a very enjoyable stay at Sunprime Kamala Beach. Without a doubt, the hotel's greatest strength is its staff. With only a few exceptions, everyone we encountered—whether at reception, in the restaurant or among the housekeeping staff—was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The overall level of service was consistently high and contributed greatly to our stay. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a larger and more inviting room, which we appreciated. We did, however, experience an issue with the pillows. Some of the smaller pillows had lumpy filling, and two pillows—one in each room—had a strong sour smell. Housekeeping replaced them immediately, and later that day the reception even called to make sure everything had been resolved. That level of follow-up deserves genuine praise. The pool areas are attractive, inviting and generally well maintained. One small detail was that there was a fair amount of sand and a few minor impurities on the pool floor. This is not something you notice from the surface, but it becomes visible when swimming underwater with goggles. More frequent cleaning of the pool floor would make an already pleasant pool area even better. We also missed having toilets close to the two pool areas nearest the reception, which would have been a practical improvement. Breakfast is generally good, the omelette station works very well, and the restaurant staff do an excellent job of keeping tables clean, clearing plates quickly and continuously refilling coffee. The one area that could clearly be improved is the way the butter is served. There was only one shared bowl of butter for all breakfast guests, with a single spoon that everyone used throughout the morning. As more and more guests used the same bowl, it quickly became less inviting. On several occasions we saw guests taking more butter than they needed and then putting part of it back into the bowl. We also noticed that new blocks of butter were simply placed on top of the butter already in the bowl. This gave the butter an unappetising appearance, and we therefore chose to buy our own individual butter portions and bring them to breakfast. In our opinion, individually wrapped butter portions would be a much better solution. Sunprime Kamala Beach is a large resort with many guests. This is not a criticism—in fact, the hotel handles its size very well. We simply realised that we personally prefer smaller hotels with a quieter and more intimate atmosphere. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel has a good location, attractive facilities and a high level of service, which is undoubtedly its greatest strength. Our few criticisms concern relatively minor details that could easily be improved. For that reason, we rate Sunprime Kamala Beach 4 out of 5 stars.
