We are absolutely loving our stay here - the staff are amazing - no one has said no to me yet! The pool and the beach are beautiful and all the restaurants are fabulous… definitely recommend this hotel to anyone…
True 5-Star Hospitality: Why Angsana Outshone Every Other Resort on Our Trip
Having stayed at more than 30 resorts across Phuket over the years, returning to Angsana Laguna Phuket after a decade with our children was the best decision of our holiday. The clean, uncrowded beach, direct beach access, and abundant activities make it unbeatable for families.
<Location & Convenience> Located just 25–30 minutes from the airport, the resort offers free shuttles and scenic lagoon boats. Right outside the Laguna gate, you will find an endless variety of fantastic restaurants, supermarkets, 7-Elevens, massage shops, and weekend night markets. Everything you need is minutes away.
<Heartfelt Service That Truly Defines 5 Stars> We stayed at four different 5-star properties across Phuket during this trip. While Angsana was technically the most modestly tiered on paper, its service was head and shoulders above the rest:
Tak: Welcomed us warmly and impressively remembered our entire family’s names—including our kids—greeting us personally throughout the stay.
Sisy (Assistant Manager): When our room experienced an issue with a faulty electrical switch that caused the power and lights to flicker and cut in and out on our first evening, Sisy handled it with genuine empathy, a thoughtful handwritten note, and generous compensation, turning a minor issue into a wonderful memory.
Roman (Manager): The morning after the electrical switch issue, Roman personally came over to our breakfast table to sincerely apologize once more for the previous night's inconvenience and thoughtfully arranged additional compensatory care. His proactive follow-up made us feel genuinely valued.
Front Desk: When I casually asked for a hair tie during checkout, a staff member ran across the property to track one down and returned in five minutes.
<True Hospitality vs. Superficial Luxury> The exceptional standard at Angsana became even more striking when compared to our subsequent stay at another luxury resort (Brand A). While that property looked luxurious on the surface, the reality was disastrous: check-in was met with cold indifference, and our children’s feet turned pitch-black within ten minutes due to filthy uncarpeted floors—a cleaning request that was ignored for our entire stay. To make matters worse, basic towel requests took eight hours with five calls, a 1:00 AM full water outage was met with dismissive apathy, pool water quality was visibly murky, passing staff were clueless about their own facilities, and staff at their heavily advertised, Michelin-featured restaurant took away a strand of hair found in our salad and dishonestly insisted it was a shrimp whisker. The contrast between Angsana's heartfelt care and that property's arrogant, amateurish indifference could not have been starker.While the property naturally shows its age over time, it is evident that the team does their absolute best to care for and maintain the facilities within their control. Furthermore, partial room renovations are actively underway. This stay reaffirmed our deep trust in the Banyan Group’s management and service culture. We cannot wait to return to experience the newly renovated rooms!
Additionally, the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options and was thoroughly satisfying. The dining experiences at both the Italian restaurant, Azzura, and the Thai restaurant, Baan Talay, were also exceptional—the food was absolutely fantastic, and I highly recommend trying both during your stay!

Outstanding even in slow season.
Our trip was during October which is the rainy season in Thailand. We were able to get discounted rates which made this stay a positive from the start.
Even though it was “low season” the Staff remained at a very high level of service, attentiveness, and joyfulness. The grounds are well cared for even as the tropical rains encourage the greenery into overdrive growth.
We extended our stay and were able to enjoy both a basic room and a suite. The quality of the rooms is what a person would expect at a property like this.
My family has actually stayed at this property before and consciously chose to come back here.
