Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Me and my husband spent 20 days here for our honeymoon and is by far the best place we have stayed in. Its paradise from the moment you walk through. We got a warm welcome with complimentary drink on arrival to refresh and take in the spectacular views to which each individual we saw say wow! This home away from home offers so much with the most tranquil surroundings. Seeing the beauty of nature and its creatures such as the water dragons, We were also very lucky to see the elephants bathing most mornings from the back yard of the hotel! As located next door to the krabi elephant sanctuary! Was beautiful. The amount of monkeys here leaves you not needing to go to any monkey village! I did find myself scared most days walking past them hoping they would not bite me and did find they do ignore you once you learn. not to run! There are signs not to feed them i think more info to help visitors understand how to remain calm and what to do could help. The room on arrival was beautifully decorated with honeymoon flowers and was very clean and spacious. I did find most disappointing is that each apartment had 1 joining door to the next room which we found was noisy. As the doors between are hollow so did find when we had a loud neighbour you could hear them having conversations on the phone to watching tv at night. We did find once we knocked on the joining door they would quiet down but 1 or 2 people did not. I think people should be notified to help keep noise down being aware and be respectful could help future noise problems.. but understand for families this is a great connector I must say the staff here are the best. Anything we needed was no trouble at all they go over and beyond special thanks to manager Smile, and shuttle drivers Dean and Kim. Shuttle bus has many pluses as do local drop off to aonang landmark were the night market is and drop offs available to the elephant sanctuary and the railay beach drop of which was very helpful The shuttle bus is free and every 2 hours starting from 9am and finishing at 7 pm. With the night market coming to life at night it would be nice if they offered a 9pm even if it was twice a week to help accommodate however There are local tut tuts that can provide travel back at 200 bhat The hotel pool is lovely and clean also a nice pleasure to be deep enough to dive and availability to swim in evening as open till 9:30pm. Theres also happy hour which we enjoyed most days from 4-6pm and another from 10-11pm which was too late for us so maybe could look at altering slightly. . Free Kayaks Bikes and gym available which needs work and updating. We also hired a moped to travel to local beaches which was pure freedom and thoroughly recommend. breakfast was tasty and offered changes most days to give you variety and food for meals were always good never had a bad meal and good price. We want to thank poonsiri resort and staff mainly as they made this honeymoon and my husband birthday a holiday without by far the very best. How this is only a 3 star hotel and not a 4 blows my mind!
Dreadful place. People and children shouting and screaming at the pool. Could not wait to leave. My head began to crack with the noise. Got out ASAP.
Great place recommend, its not far from town and grab always available. Yes there are monkeys but no problem.
We loved this place so much we ditched another hotel booking a few days later and came back. Everything was spot-on, lovely clean rooms, robes and towels provided, great choice of breakfast and friendly staff. But the highlights were most definitely the gorgeous surroundings with 360 degree stunning views, the elephants bathing in the river next door, and watching the monkeys being cheeky of an early evening. It was so entertaining watching one take a left-over coconut drink and sit finishing it off on a sun lounger. And unlike the monkeys at Railay, we found that if we didn't interact them they were no problem. Also just sitting on the terrace overlooking the lake listening to the frogs, crickets and birds was just wonderful. The hotel provides kayaks free of charge and you can feed the fish from these which was a lot of fun. The fish were huge and kept leaping out of the water. Finally, the tuktuk service into ao nang was an added bonus. Can't recommend this place highly enough, especially if you have children or hard-to-please teenagers. My two teens fell in love with the place (and there's table tennis in a nice air-conditioned room to occupy them when they get hot and grumpy).
Lovely hotel, chosen specifically for the monkeys which did not disappoint! We enjoyed watching them take things off people’s balconies that had been silly enough to leave them there. Pool always quiet and our kids had it to themselves a few times for a few hours, seemed very quiet in general, including at breakfast. Shuttle easy into Ao Nang, although we ended up getting Bolt taxi back cheaply as we ended up walking to other end of town. Bit further out than other hotels, but this suited us as we weren’t very keen on Ao Nang, mostly just using it as a base for trips etc.
