- Cha Da Thai Village Resort

Respecting the surrounding nature, the charming Krabi Thai Village Resort with its traditional Thai architecture blends in harmoniously with the verdant tropical vegetation, and at the same time, the red roofs provide a lovely colour contrast. Guests will be impressed by the sumptuous lobby and will directly feel at home in the cosy rooms. The breathtaking fine white sandy beach at Phra Nang Bay is just a short stroll away; the resort also features a wonderful expansive garden and pool landscape. An enchanting oasis of tranquillity, ideal for guests looking for relaxation.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Taxi dropped us off, reception could see that someone had arrived but we were still ignored & left to manhandle luggage up to reception. The reception area is lovely- but don’t be mislead as that’s where it ends! If I said rooms are very tired I’m been kind! broken tiles, lights not working, adhesive tape on walls, pain off everywhere, rust on lamp stands, towel holders hanging off door, water leaking through roof and dripping onto toilet & bath. Various broken tiles around hotel, on floor, steps, and around pool. Metal fittings sticking out of steps, tiles broken & missing above restaurant doors, pool dirty & was not cleaned for the duration of our stay! debris in bottom of pool, been there all stay & particles can be seen floating around in it ! food is ‘eatable’ ( no wonder resteraunt is always empty) no fresh tea available at breakfast , just made in a jug & left to stew, coffee bitter, ( ended up buying our own tea & made in room ) All the main pool and bar area remains shut & been worked on with intermittent machine noise from grinders causing a cloud of dust to drift across us! The smaller pool we have to use is poorly staffed- no one there at all, poorly managed/ unmaintained, & dirty - had to go and find pool towels from another area, also no menus etc - or bar area to get a drink /food, no staff on hand, have to walk down to main hotel to ask for one. sun umbrellas are old, worn & wobbly!. Sharp edge all around pool where plastic tile strip meets concrete. Both room and pool towels are thin & worn & some have holes in, most definitely 100% would never ever come again or recommend to anyone! Only worthy of a 1 star !
This was the last leg of our Thailand trip and although the hotel is a little tired and dated in places that doesn’t bother us. We had a family duplex room great for 2 kids and plenty of space . Everything was fairly clean and pool area is big and plently of sun loungers . Breakfast was ok lots of choice but heat lamps suck and it was quite often cold. Location in the grounds is very pretty and it’s a short 10 minutes walk to main beach and plently to do and eat in krabi For the price I wouldn’t really fault this hotel - it’s not luxurious nor super modern but there’s nothing really wrong with it and we have loved our stay
Bad experience at this hotel. Room was not clean at all, asked to change rooms and got moved to a room that was not much better at all. Very damp musty smell to both rooms. To top it off ordered food from pool and received raw chicken. Staff were rude and not accommodating at all.
What a charming, welcoming hotel. Rooms are quite dated, but very comfortable and clean.
Location was good, however what is not mentioned is that you have to walk in a road for about 10 minutes, as not pavements available, sometimes the road can get quite busy.
Staff around the pool were always very helpful and smiling
The bus to the private beach is well worth using, the beach is empty and has a charming little restaurant for food and drinks. (restaurant does not belong to the hotel).
A Christmas eve party was put on with a buffet and entertainment, all the staff worked extremely hard and put a lot of effort in, well done to all. The entertainment was fantastic and something that you will not see in the local restaurants / bars , we really enjoyed the evening, thank you.
The lady on reception (sorry I can't remember your name) was absolutely lovely and would do anything to help.
Could always get a sun bed and the sun beds were very comfortable
I would recommend this hotel 100%
Hi everyone.
I wouldn’t recommend booking Chada Thai Village , unless you like dealing with rude and careless staff.
Myself and 3 friends had booked Chada Thai Village from the 16th-20th of March, spending a sizeable sum of money. Due to the conflict in the Middle East we are now unable to travel , which is really unfortunate (and obviously not the hotels fault).
I have today contacted the hotel , and not been any support or help. I get that the Thai Village will also be impacted by what’s going on, but when you’ve spent over £500 , and they’re not offering a partial refund, or credit, I think this is very rude. Considering we’ve given over 10 days notice, and I know from some friends that other hotels in the Ao Nang area are issuing refunds.
There’s lots of hotel options in the beautiful Ao Nang area, I’d suggest booking with a hotel that genuinely cares about the customer spending their money there.
